He worked wonders with Jacory which was pretty **** impressive.

I didn't mind his offense too much but he got a little too cute with the calls at times.

I'm comfortable bringing nobody back that was here in the last 10 years. No offense to Mike Barrow either but we need a complete reset.

If your name is not Ice, Kehoe, or Beard....I don't want anyone ever associated w/ Golden on the new staff, period.

Larry Scott needs to be retained. Turned Walford into an All American and has our TEs looking great this season again.

With all due respect of the great job that TE Coach Scott has done with Walford and this year's Njoku and Herndon, what has Dobard done under Scott now that when he was supposed to be the next breakout TE as did Walford?

Why would he leave the safety of Harbaugh ?

For more CA$H, and for more responsibility...as our "passing game coordinator". But I would not hire him as our next OC. Go to someone more SURE or GuaRAWNtee! In the next set of hirees, we've got to take the attitude that everyone must be the SUREST thing. Jedd is the surest thing as QB coach! ...not play caller. He can be a big consultant to/with the OC, and they can brainstorm their heads together.

I never cease to be amazed at the anti-Jedd Fisch vibe on this board. Here's what I saw:

* Jedd Fisch always made solid halftime adjustments
* Jacory looked better under Fisch than under any other OC during his time at UM,
* Stephen Morris looked better under Fisch than under Coley.
* Jedd Fisch was hired by an NFL team as an OC. The marketplace clearly thinks highly of him.
* He was hired by Jim Harbaugh at Michigan. A guy who has loads of accomplishments, especially as a play caller.

Jedd finch is mediocre at best.

His play calling was just as erratic as coleys. He had zero rhyme or reason. Also loved to get cute with the offense. His offense would be humming then we would go completely away from. He never stuck with run game.. Just like coley. 3rd were just as big as problem under him. Not to mention Jedd was a HORIBLE TALENT EVALUATER AND CROOTER!

Ha nothing more then a QB coach assistant OC. James coley is better and that's just bc he landed Kaaya

jedd did wonders with our QBs. Jacory Harris made a huge leap his senior year under Fisch. And Snickers looked like a potential star until Jed left and he got exposed to Coley. All went downhill after that

I would really like to give Ken Dorsey a shot. As QB coach in carolina he has done good with Cam Newton. He isn't making near as many bad throws and mistakes this year. At least bring him in as QB coach and find a way to get him more money through recruiting coordinator or assistant OC or something to persuade him to leave carolina.

Only criticism I have of Fisch is his evaluations of QB's.

Yep. And the only positive I have to say about Coley is his evaluation of QB. Possibly keep Coley just to be QB coach and recruiting coordinator? Not that Fisch is coming here but for any OC we end up with. If Coley wants to stay to recruit and coach QBs then I can live with that.. just keep him out of the playbook

Exactly. If I could make some Fisch-Coley hybrid that could scheme and adjust and also evaluate QB's that'd be nice.

Jed Fisch is a Horrible OC.

Do you have him ranked below Coley, Whipple or Nix?

Well, Whipple was better than all of them. Patrick Nix is definitely the worst. Fisch and Coley are about the same, but I would give the edge to Coley, which isn't saying much. Fisch did gimmick sh*t like putting the QB in the slot and then have him go in motion only to take the snap. Yes, he did that. even the commentators said they had never seen a quarterback go in motion and then take a snap. Another time, Fisch had an offensive tackle line up at the x spot.

yea i hated those little cute trick plays he tried to call, overall his offense was way too conservative and called horrible plays against good teams, coley is about the same the only thing he has over fisch is recruiting, fisch hated recruiting and wasn't very good at it

id love to keep coley but i doubt he would take a downgrade from his current position he would probably bolt and get a OC gig somewhere else
