The Hurricanes have maintained a steady presence in Addai’s process since his fantastic sophomore season.

“Miami has been recruiting me hard since the football season,” Addai told Rivals. “They have been checking up on me daily, and some of the coaches and I have been building a strong relationship.”

It’s possible he they may just concede an early defeat with Brysen. In addition to the financials of what they gotta pay for Jett Harrison, they are all-in on blue-chip WR Braylon Clark; who we are also recruiting. I doubt they stop recruiting Brysen, but they prob realize their chances are slimming.

Marvin Harrison and Joseph Addai, father of five star WR Jaylen Addai, won a Super Bowl with the Colts together. His father has connections to a ton of schools (LSU alum from Saban’s staff which Smart/Searles (UGA) and Muschamp (Texas) were apart of). Still, that allure of collegiately replicating what their fathers did professionally is an intriguing angle.

Of course, his father has connections everywhere. Kevin Beard was teammates with another of his Colts teammates in Reggie Wayne; and Addai was the understudy to Edge as a rookie.
 
Like fellow LSU legacy Ahmad Hudson, Jaylen Addai plays for JL3 Elite, a program ran by Jai Lucas’ father and brother and formerly ran by UMiami’s current director of basketball player personnel (i think that’s his job title).
