2028 Jaylen Addai 4* WR from Pearland, TX (Shadow Creek HS)

Five-star 2028 Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek wide receiver Jaylen Addai made a return visit to Miami this month. Ranked as the No. 3 wide receiver and No. 8 overall recruit nationally, Addai took in Miami’s thrilling double overtime win over rival Florida State. “The game was crazy,” Addai said. “It was a really good football game. There were crazy plays on each side of the ball. Miami came in and pulled it out. They came out with the W last minute. It was all great to see.”

Addai paid close attention to Miami’s offense throughout the contest and came away impressed. “They get their receivers the ball,” Addai said. “Everybody plays their roles. Everybody makes plays. Even when it comes to blocking, they were out there doing that and opening things up for the run game. Everyone touched the rock and made plays.”

This visit also gave Addai an opportunity to spend time with Miami head coach Mario Cristobal and wide receivers coach Kevin Beard. “I really like the coaching staff,” Addai said. “Coach KB and Coach Cristobal are great. I’ve been building a bond with them since my sophomore year. I came out here and tightened up that relationship. It was great.”

So where does Miami stand coming out of the visit? “Miami is a frontrunner,” Addai said. “They are one of my top options right now. I’m really considering them.” Along with Miami, the 6-foot, 167-pounder is also considering schools like Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas and others.
