So no redshirts have ever been mentioned around greentree? Not saying I'm worried just saying I literally haven't heard from him; anyone see him in practice, read anything ect.
From the look Blue's film coming in, he doesn't seem to be that bad of a player…
We have to realistically look at who's in front of him. A Senior in Jimmy Gaines, and R. Kirby who has been played darn well, when he's healthy. However, I still think Blue will get some reps at middle, because as it looks, things may not pan out with D. Bond coming in at OLB.
Therefore, I think there's a chance for either Gaines or Kirby to get allot of reps at OLB.
People have Figueroa as a guy to lock down an OLB position, but he's still young and may hit the wall when the lights come on. McCord is a situational guy at OLB, then you have Cornelius & Ambrister, who won't give you what Kirby or Gaines are capable of at OLB.
Also, take notice that we haven't really gone after a marquee MLB in our recruiting efforts lately. I’m thinking the staff is ok with Kirby and Blue for the immediate future, and will nab a marquee guy at MLB next class.
End of the story, Blue will play and he still has allot of eligibility left to get better.
