I think the impact of basketball is underrated in this recruitment. I don’t think Jai Lucas pushed very hard for Lopez or Russell. And I’m not saying Lucas was wrong. He’s assembled a strong squad without the need for 2 sport athletes.

Oh sure. The annual “the local kid is a priority even though we have 4 WRs committed” articles would make it seem that way.

Look man, I’m just saying if Mario wanted him, he would be here. Look at the HS transfers for our local tops target every year, Miami Central, CC, Columbus, Palmetto, McArthur, etc. They aren’t choosing those schools for the change of scenery.
