You might not think he is a ACC basketball player, which is fine. But to say he is not D1 is far fetched. There are a lot more D1 bball programs than football, and he is a very good bball player

First, he didn’t choose NC State because they weren’t taking him seriously as a basketball recruit. Lol. I don’t think you guys realize how hard it is to get a P5 scholarship in basketball and to just hand one to a kid because the football team really wants him is a lot to ask of the bball coach. He’s got a family to feed too just like the football coach. Lopez is really good at basketball. But tell him to completely drop football and see how many basketball offers he gets. **** see if UM would even honor the bball scholarship offer! Lol. Lucas would snatch that thing back so fast.

I like this kid but he saw the writing on the wall and I respect him for having some pride and realizing he was probably slow played a little by UM in the process. I never got the feeling he was a “has a spot no matter what” type recruit at WR and I think he felt that. Jmo. Like one post said, highly doubt he sticks with FSU in the end. Hes too good on the gridiron to play for those bums.
