With UM still looking for NT's to man the middle of the dline lets talk about an under radar prospect that will soon explode onto many schools recruiting boards throughout the south.
Jarvis Loftin is a stoutly built 2014 Nose Tackle from Mendenhall,Ms. the 6'2" 330lb loftin recently attended Miss St's Dawg night where he put on a clinic, virtually dominating every linemen at the camp.

Another player that impressed me was a guy that I had no idea of before the camp. His name is Jarvis Loftin and he is a defensive tackle from Mendenhall, MS. He is 6-1 330. While at first glance he appears to be a bit short, when you watch him you can only be impressed. His hands great at the point of attack and his feet are explosive. He showed a variety of moves en route to dominating most offensive linemen at the camp. He once got stopped on a rep and when you thought he had lost his first rep, he spun off the offensive lineman and got to the quarterback. It was jaw-dropping. Loftin is definitely a guy that will move into my next Mississippi rankings. Where his recruitment goes from here is still to be seen, but whoever gets him will end up with a good player.
UM is in need of 1 or 2 more true NT's to round out the interior of the 2014 DLine class and Loftin could be a viable option, since his high schools plays a similar read and react scheme to what UM is currently running. At time the Mississippi all state player was double then tripled teamed and still manage to make the tackle. In his highlights there is a play where he is completely blown off the ball (by a triple team), but still manages to pursue the ball carrier laterally and makes the tackle.
I am hoping UM reaches out to this young man soon, because it sounds like MSU and Ole Miss may be picking up their recruitment of the young man.
