Jarren coming in 2019

If Richt won't hire a true OC and give up playcalling duties then what's the point in getting excited regarding JW? I've been on him since day one since he is from the ATL area and Central Gwinnett high is not far from where my mom lives.

Redshirt designation shouldn’t matter, Winston as a redshirt freshman led FSU to a title. The kid was one of the best qbs in the country coming out of highschool, I think He’s equipped to play very well in terms of talent inexperience or not. Don’t get me wrong I like Perry and he has some nice things to work with but I’m not sure he can hold Jarren off next year

I think JW has higher potential than Perry as well. Having said that, I see a similar year where we're flipping back and forth between QBs. I don't think it matters if JW shows he's the actual better QB. Because when we put Perry out and saw him play better than Rosier, we still saw Richt go back to what he was comfortable with. We now see what we have with Perry (whom can improve), but we haven't seen anything with JW and that's what scares Richt.

Honestly doesn’t matter who starts, if this offense stays the same it won’t change anything. Richt has to have zero impact on that side of the ball, or else it will be more of the same. Numbers show throughout his time at UGA, when he gave up playcalling, they were better. Every year since Richt took over we have declined in offense. He is one of the worst x’s and o’s Coach of all time.

The first play of the Pitt game is all you need to know. The previous week we had success spreading them out with the wide receiver screen. What do we do to open up the game, we telegraph a wide receiver screen that was seen coming from the moon. It was so slow Richt doesn’t teach the QBs to get the ball out. The DEend reads it and just runs straight up the field. Everything is so slow that Richt does. Every play is slow developing, and it’s all cause of the OC which happens to be the HC. Someone on Social Media rips Richt for being strung out on Xanax and that exactly how he coaches his team. No fire and it’s boring as ****.

hope he gets some burn in the bowl game. Why wait until spring to begin competition?

This is my worry. It was supposedly an open QB competition this past offseason, yet we saw Malik get all of the reps with the 1s. A true open QB competition here would see the reps equal between Williams and Perry (I don't see Weldon being on the team next year). I'm cool with an open QB competition as Perry was decent at times, but he hardly locked up the starting QB job this year. I want the best QB out there against UF in 2019, whether that be Perry or Williams.
Exactly. You get it, man.

The people who don't believe in Perry are about to know how the people who didn't believe in Rosier coming into the season felt.

I have no faith in Mark & Jon to get this QB situation right, they were literally trying to get Kelly Bryant before he decided not to even visit lol

I think Jarren has through the roof potential & can be a very good QB, but he'll be a Red Frosh next year with no experience. Expect another season of QB seesaw, both Perry & Jarren will play.

I tend to agree with this with the only variable possibly* being Perry's "maturity". Rosier at least in that column made it easy for Rick to fall back on his emphasis on and preference for "trust". But yeahhhh, the most surprising thing would be for Jarren or anyone not named Perry to be named the official starter during August practices.
