Jaquan Johnson

I know nobody wants to hear this..but this kid could be the "Jacory Harris" of this class. Back in 08', remember as soon as Jacory committed, ALL the dominoes fell. All the local talent started committing left and right. The only two guys we had to wait for was Streeter and Buchanan. (PP doesnt count. As soon as he decommitted we knew it was a wrap. Neither does BHarris. We knew he was coming.)

If Al can get this kid to commit before the season starts, it will be interesting to see if he can have the same impact with local recruits.

I get what your sayin... he could be that cog that gets the wheel spinning

When I posted the pic with him wearing UM gear, he wasn't trolling...kid loves the U and he has a BIG influence on so. Fla kids... I expect him, Irvin, Cronkrite to be huge parts to our class next year...Where he goes, others will follow...it won't be another Q Wilson situation where he had guys to follow, but they left him high n dry..lol

Tell me all this when hes committed. I heard the same thing last year about a guy that loves the U and is now going to GA.. Talk is cheap.

Very early he's establishing himself as a candidate for favorite recruit ever, up there with Duke if he makes it all the way to next Feb.

Honey Badger 2.0

I think it's more Lemarcus Joyner 2.0

He's neither of those in my opinion. He's not the same quick-twitch type of athlete that Joyner is. His game is based more on instincts and football IQ. If you want to compare someone to Joyner, that's Irvin IMO.

Ed Reed son!

Beat me to it...after watching his film he is the closest player to Ed Reed that I've seen in recent years. Especially when you read about his leadership and intangibles.

If anything, Irvin reminds me more of the Honey Badger, but Irvin hits harder and is bigger.

Jaquan Johnson IMO is better than Lamarcus Joyner who is 5'8(Jaquan is 5'11), and he is the first player to remind me of Ed Reed, no joke.

Joyner might be a little faster, but he didn't own Dade since he was a Freshman like this kid has, and def didn't have the influence over top recruits in South FL like Jaquan does.

IMO Joyner is more of a hard hitting CB, and Jaquan is more of a playmaking safety who brings the wood, with great ball skills and instincts.

Jaquan Johnson IMO is the most important recruit this cycle and should be the center piece of this class. Not only is he a leader with elite talent, but all the top players in South Fl want to play with him.

He is the type of kid that can actually make those "Ed Reed halftime speeches" and the whole team will listen.

Y'all need to watch Tim Irvin tape. That kid is a hard hitter man. If we get jaquan then it's a done deal with Tim Irvin. I'm definitely excited about the 2015 class... It's seems like we are out in front in a lot of these kids recruitment

You get crushed for saying the type of thing I'm about to say, but he's Ed Reed 2.0. IDK if it transitions as well as Reed did or if he has that same hunger/desire/intelligence but his HS clips look like a HS Ed Reed. He somehow gets himself where he needs to be and makes plays. Look at the 2nd play in that soph highlight reel.... kid is EReed.

Edit: looks like several people beat me to the comparison

His running style, football IQ, leadership skills. instincts and ball skills all scream Ed Reed.
