Jaquan hits like ST

Truth be told, ain't nobody hits like ST26 because even IF they could there would be targeting flags on every play. The refs wouldn't be able to distinguish the pure violence of the way ST26 played vs actual illegal hits.

That said, ST26 was such a freak that he'd adapt and would still be an all-timer even in this more "safety-oriented" type of football.

True that nobody else is or will be like ST, but some of you need to simmer down. The OP was careful to say that his hitting style was like ST. Not that he plays like or is as good as...just that one aspect of his game is similar. Go ahead and disagree, but there's no need to go all jihadi about it.

And I explained....FS pretty much all hit with that Style....SS hit a little differently because of Run protection....and to be Frank....JJs name shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as STs regardless of the topic...

The worst is when people say "player *** is the next ST!"

The second worst is when people say "How dare you speaketh the name of the Most Exalted ST, you infidel pig!"

As for styles, I don't really have an opinion. Just trying to point out that it's ok to let people mention ST without stoning them in the town square.

Below Ed, st and Bennie.... Above bush, Jenkins, randy phillips.... I would put him on par with Kenny Phillips tho

Honestly don't know. I have not been following other teams as much this year after we got blown out by LSU. Once I realized we where in Richtirement I stopped following other teams.

That said the other guys he named where must have 1st round guys. Jaquan is not. Jaquan is very good, but the other guys were great.

Ray Ray Armstrong: what could have been. He had the size (6'3" 235lbs) of Sean Taylor, but never was able to put it together here. Still sticking in the league, though. After he blasted that Oklahoma running back I thought he was going to be the next great one.
 
Don't get me wrong...I Love JJ...Watched him all 4 yrs in HS....Very Good player.....but the guys I mentioned above are Elite...The SeanTays...Reeds....Blades....McNeills went up against Waaayyyyy better competition than JJ will EVER see in CFB....Look at the schedules back then...When FSU...Penn St..Nebraska...OU....UF...etc were belching out AAs left and right...
