Jaquan calls out Malik

When I saw it last week, my first thought was if Jaquan is saying this during media day, I can only imagine how bad he has broken his foot off in Malik's *** behind closed doors. This is leadership at its finest.

Ok to mention Ed Reed here? From a leadership standpoint only.

Shirreffs threw two passes precisely BC Malik was so bad he got pulled. He was talking about Malik

/ Malik’s first four pass attempts resulted in
Five yard completion to herndon
Incomplete
Sack (6 yards)
Incomplete

Those two incompletions was a drop by Richards and a drop by Thomas that would have been a TD.

On the sack, Trevor Darling wasn’t sure who to block on a line stunt and decided to block nobody.

Granted, Rosier’s accuracy really goes down hill after that, but that’s a different ballgame if on Pitt’s first possession we hold them, and on ours we drop a 70 bomb on that Narduzzi defensive game plan. It probably softens them up a little so we can run the ball for more than 16 yards.

Who else was missing throws? Was Shaq missing throws in the Pitt game? What about Donaldson? He didn't need to call him out by name it was painfully obvious who he is referring too. Rosier and Sheriffs is who he called out.
**** guy. That was the point of my entire post, hence why I said, "He was subtle with his jab." The analogy referenced the fact that Jaquan singled Rosier out without "calling" him out, which is a sign of great leadership abilities. He made a pivotal point without directly throwing a teammate under the bus to the media.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that the post didn't go over your head, and just chalk it up to you just being one of those guys that like to argue for the sake of arguing. Do you, my man!

Didn't we play Shirreffs for a series or two against Pitt? I mean we all know he was talking about Rosier but there were enough bad throws from both.

Yes it was as bad a series as I have ever seen. Completely wasted the first series of the 2nd half IIRC.

It is not being subtle when there is only 1 person(2 if you count Shirreffs single drive) that is throwing the ball. Its not like he said guys were missing tackles(then you have dozens of players that could potentially be getting called out). That was about as blunt as you could be.

Okay. We both know that he was referencing Rosier. We obviously disagree on how he did it. It's all good.

What do you want man? Somebody always gets the credit and somebody the blame, fair or not. fsu and GT were won on 4th Q drives, and like it or not those get credited to the QB. Even if he's just handing off, he's still running the show.

Rosier's completion percentage against fsu was 43%, which is absurd. Completely deplorable. But...when the chips were down he made the plays we needed to win.

As for the Ravens, that D was so ridiculous the QB only needed to get into FG range a few times a game. We're asking a bit more out of our QB than that.
And I keep having to stress this, but throwing the football in a balanced, Pro-Style offense is only half of a quarterback's responsibility.

Just re-watched the UNC game last night, and we've struggled to to run the ball all game. 1.8 yards per carry on the day. Travis Homer has 40 yards...against a run defense ranked in the 90's. The left side of the line, Darling and Doormat are getting abused. Someone is in our backfield every single play. But UNC only had 2 sacks on the game, because I can't tell you how many times Rosier managed to at least get back to the LOS to prevent a big loss.

It's really hard to run out the clock when you can't run the ball, but when we needed a 1st down to ice the game, Rosier called his own number on a 3rd and 5 and willed his way through two tackles to get to the marker.

Every single win or loss is solely because of the quarterback. Nothing else plays a factor.

I keep seeing this since stated...but its kind of overrated. Seeing as he is a qb...Its literally mandatory to watch film. Like you meet EVERY DAY with your position coach to watch film. Dude is likely talking about on his own when at his dormroom/house, typically 3rd string qbs wont be geared up to watch film again since they aint playing.
Here is where everyone is getting he didn't watch film from. He said he didn't really watch film until Duke in 2015, but now watches film all the time...

“The biggest difference for me is just the way I watch film,” said Rosier, who was 20-for-29 with 272 yards and two touchdowns in that infamous 30-27 win over the Blue Devils two years ago. “Before Duke, I didn’t really watch film. I just came out here, practiced, did what they told me. Now, even when we’re not watching film with the coaches, I’ll be in treatment and watching film. I’m at home watching film.
“I’m really trying to figure out our defense, figure out our offense and just try to help us. I’ve even started watching Arkansas State. I’ve watched Notre Dame. I’m trying to figure out the teams we’re playing ahead of time so when it comes, I already know what to expect when we play those guys.”

OMFG kick him off the team aspd384u089pjsdfnasdkf;n

The common realization is that one guy on the team touches the ball on every play, is responsible for getting everyone lined up and in the correct play, and as such, is the largest determining factor in a play's success or failure.

Fairly or unfairly--there are legitimate arguments for both sides--QBs are judged by wins and losses more than anyone else on the team aside from the head coach.

If you play it backwards between 11:40 and 11:30, you can clearly hear Jaquan saying "Malik cost us a playoff spot".

How long should Johnson keep it in house. 1 season 2 seasons and they're still Blood leaking. How long do you turn the other cheek.

Stop it. He ******* sucked vs Pitt. He got pulled for Shirreffs.

Still doesn’t change the fact that he hit Ahmmon in the shoulder pads on a slant and Thomas in the hands on a seam on the opening drive and both passes were dropped.

He missed plenty of passes that weren’t drops, but I was specifically replying to the series you brought up. Should have been 3 for 3 with a 70 yard TD.

........and STILL

Jacquan did NOT call out Malik, he simply said “we missed some passes” along with several other negatives about the defense, etc.

He was just stating facts.

He said it matter of factly.

He said something that he knows, the team knows, that Rick has said several times, that other people have said many times, and that the whole world knows.

Listen to the video and watch him. He is a straightforward young man. There is no slyness, no deviousness. He was just stating facts.

Who would have ever 'thunk' it...a QB had a bad game! This will go down in history, books will be written about it, feature-length movies will be produced and coaches around the world will hold seminars studying and explaining Rosier's every movement in that Pitt game. They will accurately point out that Rosier was the only one to take the field that day as the rest of the team stood on the sidelines watching in disgust.

There's never ever been anything like it nor will we see the likes of it again during our lifetimes! The future generations will look back at that dark and fateful day wondering how Miami fans survived the horror they witnessed. 100 years from now some will try to reference the Holocaust as being one of the worst episodes in the history of the world, but they will be interrupted in mid-sentence and reminded of the 2017 Pitt/Miami game. Oh! The humanity!!!

God bless America and God bless the 2017 Pitt/Rosier, survivors...
