I’ll say this, I was at the game and was watching him the play he got hurt. I said instantly, “groin. He’s done.”
Then I see him out there a series or two later. He plays a snap or two, limps around, comes out. OK. He’s ******* hurt. He’s DONE.
Then for the next HOUR, the kid has his helmet on, strapped up, doing shuttles on the sideline, high knees, trying everything he can to loosen it up to go back in. He REALLY wanted to go back in that football game. There was absolutely zero thought of just packing it in and sitting on the bench. That kid really loves ball and he really loves this team. I hope more than anything that someone competent can develop him for the next couple years because he is a complete unicorn and his potential is completely through the sky.
