2026 James "JJ" Johnson 4* DT from Northwestern via Ft Myers Flips to Texas From UGA

Bruh Do/post wtf you want lol like u said it its a message board, I just find it interesting when ppl say they only care about the results, then get on here losing their mind/worked up about recruiting in June, thats all. Long way to go until December the way I see it & I'll judge how we did on the 26' trail then, but you do you.
You are getting flustered. Sorry about that. Have a ****tail. Relax. Or at least try. As long as you put in effort, you can have a trophy.

Another BS excuse. We used to bring tons of players in from Jersey. ****, a huge portion of the schools students are from the NE (New York, Jersey, etc.)

Like you said, players from that area love it down here.

But that wasn't the point.

The point was "he is not your typical MNW kid, he spent years in North Fort Myers, and before that he grew up in New Jersey".

That is not an "excuse" or anything. It's just a reflection that some posters need to get off the ledge when it comes to making generalizations about whether Miami can or cannot recruit "Miami Northwestern kids".

I am not part of that discussion and could care less about that. Regardless of point, he was top of the board priority. When you are there, valuable resources are spent on the recruitment. So, plain and simple we whiffed. It is a failure.

Forget about the pipe dreams in the Keys and Browns of the world, those were always longshots and would be EXCEPTIONAL wins. We, UM, the staff fully expected Russell in this class (highly unlikely), Lopez (now a Nole), Johnson (looking UGA). That is such a bad, bad look to lose all those guys. No way to spin it.

What are these "valuable resources"? Seriously. A dinner at Prime 112? We are spending a half-mil and a mill on NIL deals, so the cost of OVs and Mario's (limitless) time are mere drops in the bucket.

And nobody has said it isn't a failure to miss on guys. Nobody. That is just some made-up bull**** (not made up by you, but by others).

Russell - is a very unusual case.

Lopez - again, I don't know who is feeding you the nitrous, but everyone that I talk to said that he would be superfluous if we landed Spafford. I have dozens of texts and DMs going back MONTHS saying that we wanted height and speed more than any other WR attribute this cycle, and with Ny Carr coming back, we weren't exactly desperate for a smaller WR. 5'10" and 165 ain't that, and when Miami didn't step up with a committable offer, he took his talents to Talla****inghassee.

Johnson - is definitely not over.

Nobody is trying to spin anything. But the smell of *** coming from all the puckered sphincters on this thread is sad. CIS posters just flat out giving up all hope after UGa leaks that they are in the lead.

Not directed to you, more about other posters, but...

Nah, @Problem2 is the man and one of the best posters on CIS. But point taken, NY market loves Miami.

What’s going on w CR that his recruitment is so unusual?

Also.. Miami not giving Lopez a commitable offer puts things in a different light.

Fair rebuttal. I still say you will never see a day where Vanderbilt Or Stanford or Cal use the revenue sharing profits for NIL. And there are a lot of schools who will feel the same way. And then the next level up will be schools who maybe use 1% of it for NIL. I think these presidents will force these coaches to go fund raise through the booster club for NIL and then let the rev share money be a SMALL cherry on top for NIL. Very small. Jmo
Rev share and NIL are different things, but why would schools who’ve invested millions and millions into their football programs, like the ones you listed, choose to blow up those programs by not participating in rev share?
