How do we do him wrong? He was I believe committed when Randy was fired. He decommitted and went to Louisville.

No no for commits it’s always Signing Day even if they’re a few classes away but when we miss out on someone it’s always June…in some cases 2 or 3 years after they already signed elsewhere.

I really don't know who has been saying that. MY point was strictly about the statement of us not landing him being "unacceptable" . Like do you guys know what "unacceptable" mean? We miss out on him, I promise you no punishment will come about.

Well, the weird part is that Miami didn’t disrespect him. He decommitted from Miami after the firing of Randy Shannon. He said that he wanted to play for a Black head coach, and signed with Louisville and Coach Charlie Strong.

If that’s his beef with the Canes, then he’s an idiot. Radio was buns and needed to go.

It also says a lot about his character. Imagine if a Caucasian player said that he only wanted to play for a Caucasian coach. It’s also hypocritical because he wound up playing for Caucasian head coaches in the NFL, and never heard a word from him on the subject.

I don’t get the love affair that some of our so called “fans” have with this turncoat. Once this jabronie threw up the upside down U and broke it, he showed his true colors. The throat slash afterwards only reinforced his feelings for the U.

You and cway and the rest of your crew are going to post negative commentary no matter what.

But is it too much to ask for you not to mischaracterize commentary as "making excuses" when no excuses are being made? Is that possible?

Probably not, but at least I made the effort...as Mario does...unlike what cway has proposed.

I agree with your sentiments. I have even said I wish more was at stake. In reality these next 2 years are freebies. I am against the morale victories in general. I think the "unacceptable" is more in retaliation to those victories and the excuses that follow. Then again I wasn't one that said that.

The only thing that makes not landing James Johnson or Calvin Russell not big Ls is literally if you replace them with as elite - or better - players. For James Johnson that means Lamar Brown. For Calvin Russell that means Tristen Keys or Like Feaster. This is about overall talent acquisition, not locking into only a specific player and anything else is garbage lol.

However what I will add though is that DLine we need more than just 1 top talent. That is why I think not landing James Johnson would be a big L basically no matter what because of who we have traction with and the fact he's clearly a pure DT. You'd basically have to land Lamar Brown and Bryce Perry-Wright (or Nolan Wilson but that seems unlikely) for me to think that's not a big L tbh. Because I already think we need to land Anthony Jones or our EDGE class isnt looking great. We NEED 2 top DTs. That could have been Vodney Cleveland or Topui, but they already chose Texas and USC, and I'd doubt would flip from them. So I think we need to get 2 of Brown, Johnson, Perry-Wright, Wilson... and maybe You can put Stancil at the lower end of really good prospect too... And yeah I know Perry-Wright and Wilson are more 4-5 tech types with their current build, but still...
