I think he's going to affect recruits on the upper East Cost more then our typical grounds.

We don't get too many from the North east or Carolinas. Nonetheless, CMC is a monster on the recruiting trail, he has gone head to head with everyone across the nation and won some and lost some.

WE DONT RECRUIT AGAINST FRANKLIN MUCH AT PSU WE WONT AT VA TECH SO HES NOT A PROBLEM TO US WHATSOEVER.

Agreed. Honestly, I'm not overly concerned with VT/Franklin, I've never been overly impressed with his teams. VT is always a tough out for us I don't expect that to change.
PSU on the other hand, how do you not have a guy in place and are behind Harvard in recruiting!

The Mormon Church has intervened to steal back Sitake (Crumbl Cookie guy, Nutricost Supplement guy, and the Church have all committed heavy $$$ involvement to keep Intake).

PSU is back at square one I'm guessing. Not sure who they target next

I didnā€™t think he would steal our recruits. He will pull some higher level talent to VT. Much better than they have gotten recently. On the field he is a better coach than Mario. That VT game is already a nuisance every year and its about to get a lot tougher.

Heā€™ll have VT more talented then the current garbage they trot out but the ceiling is limited there..he wouldā€™ve been an absolute pain in the *** for us at FSU for sure tho

Yea if you weren't going to get a top flight HC what was the point? If they cant beat OSU and UM spend more because that's why they lost, OSU spends way more than they do
 
Franklin recruited the DMV well when he was at Maryland.

So while we donā€™t typically recruit that area heavy he ā€œisā€ the type of recruiter to galvanize that area and make VT the place to be againā€¦ especially for the Tidewater area. The Vicks, Bryan Randall and Tyron Taylor years had their local recruiting in a different place.

The talent from the DMV has tended to be spread out to FSU, ND, Maryland, UVA, VT, UNC and PSUā€¦ and Bama had gotten some high end guys from there.

If Franklin gets half the kids that used to go elsewhere to go to VT thatā€™s where he becomes a problem.

When it happened I had zero doubt they had back channeled and had a good name lined upā€¦

WRONG! lol they just assumed they were gonna be like bama or lsu and pick whoever they wanted
