2027 Jamar Thompson 4* DT from West Boca Commits to GTech

We loved him early… We seemed to be aggressive early on with him as any '27 kid not named Lennear, Matthews, or maybe Gamble or J.Jones.

Guess the weight just got away from him in staff's eyes. Outgrow what we want from DT position

Did he get big like the kid from Arkansas that we had last year and dropped later in the process? Cause that kid was huge. (Pause)

Weight goes to work ethic though. It’s very rare in sports for the guy to be over weight and be a guy you can depend on to be the work in.

I honestly thought he committed to Texas… Doubt it's a price tag thing if GT?

This is the one Sofla pass that don't understand from UM. I guess him and Wyatt Smith who supposedly went nuts last night, but that seemed a bit of a weird recruitment/2 way street thing from the beginning. But re: Thompson they seem to be dead set with what they want at DT.

Vilma would have been the other kid I think can play at UM but when Woodard and Sears came aboard (Vilma playing both CB/WR), I can understand the pass I think Carey and couple others can possibly play at UM but I can understand them being more backup plans.

The wyatt ballin out was an easy call, we all saw that coming from a legacy kid and all..

Kennedy went to school that absolutely mishandled his development. Kid was lost on the field and even with his size couldn't even stop the run. Even his little brother left that school as soon as season ended
