Jamal Carter

He's the best pure safety prospect we've brought in in years. Cant even think of a better one recently off hand. Bush is just a freak of nature but I've said it a few times already but look at the job we've done with Bush and Jenkins, two guys who were new to the spot.

Now take a kid who has all the tools and has experience.

I like the potential.

his JR film is flat out ridiculous. he shows Patrick Johnson level size/athleticism combo

I disagree. I think you are reaching with the athleticism in comparing him to PP/PJ.

His Junior film he did show alot of explosiveness, however, he gained weight in his senior season and clearly lost alot of the explosion that made him a threat in the return game. It will be further evident when putting him against D1 athletes. I think he needs to loose the bad weight to gain some of his explosion back and gradually grow into his body.

Having said all that, I still don't think he is as explosive as PP/PJ. I do believe he is an incredible athlete and will be one of our play makers. The gem in this class is A.Burns who is often overlooked in the class discussions.

Agree with you on the first part of Jamal gaining too much weight for his Sr season. Should he loose the weight again, he is by far the best pure physical specimen on the team. His body control and his ability to change direction is sickening. Im actually afraid he might grow to a Linebacker.. Why do i say that, because his neck looks like Jon Beason's already. good lawd.

Code:
Watch out for him to get a look at RB.

**** that!

I've always wondered why he never ran the ball in HS.. Just looking at his punt return highlights, he looks to have some wiggle and quickness to go with his size.

He did, coach Soldinger was his coach too, but he's a gangster safety prospect that's gonna hurt lots of opposing receivers.

ONLY WHEN HE CAN ROLL THIS DEEP....

thats why I said his JR tape. he looked like he was going to jump off the field.

I think the athleticism comp to PJ is pretty good. JR film to PJs film.

Need more elite athletes on D. His potential Value Over Replacement is much higher at safety than running back...an easier position to fill.

I wish we all knew now exactly who our personnel is going to be at CB and S next year (and they years after). Between Deon getting reps at Corner and Artie being a filthy corner but apparently could be an even better safety, a few of these DB could end up at either spot. I am very curious as to where.

I saw the title of the thread and immediately thought "aww ****, what now?" Could we please be a little more descriptive in the thread titles?

Good news though!

I like the direction this is moving in. Tell me more sir.
