My point is, then who is the LT? Nelson’s Knee? Who else? Transfer? So have Rivers battle it out with Cohen and Cooper for the guard spots. Thats what the good to elite teams have happen every single year. Then put it out in the portal that the LT job is up for grabs. Look if Rivers ends up being the best options at Tackle, so be it, you gotta do what you gotta do, but it shouldnt be because we already have Cooper and Cohen there.
Transfer and see how Samson develops over the summer. He didn’t look anywhere to close as good as Mauigoa but it’s only his first spring. ****, maybe we move Mauigoa to LT and find a transfer for RT.My point is, then who is the LT? Nelson’s Knee? Who else? Transfer?
He 100% is IF healthy. Graded out as the 2nd best pass blocking LT in America last half of 2021 season behind Evan Neal.Put down the hukkah pipe.
Now do run blocking. Also, please share source is was 2d behind Neal.He 100% is IF healthy. Graded out as the 2nd best pass blocking LT in America last half of 2021 season behind Evan Neal.
Please leave Mauigo at RT for the next three years.Transfer and see how Samson develops over the summer. He didn’t look anywhere to close as good as Mauigoa but it’s only his first spring. ****, maybe we move Mauigoa to LT and find a transfer for RT.
Per PFF via Sports Illustrated “During the last seven games of the 2021 season, Nelson allowed zero sacks and received a 90.8 pass-blocking grade.”Now do run blocking. Also, please share source is was 2d behind Neal.
I stand corrected. I thought his grading would have been much worse.Per PFF via Sports Illustrated “During the last seven games of the 2021 season, Nelson allowed zero sacks and received a 90.8 pass-blocking grade.”
He also was PFF 8th best offensive tackle nationally coming into the 2022 season.
8th out of 258 is pretty stout.
He started off 2021 slow, as he had an injury in fall camp that set him back. He barely got healthy and ready enough to play in opener vs. AlabamaI stand corrected. I thought his grading would have been much worse.
