Three-star ATH Jalen Julius, who decommitted from Florida earlier today and is a high school teammate of Dexter Williams, plans to make an unofficial visit to Miami on August 10 for U Day.

Julius does not have a Miami offer yet, but he says his new favorites are Louisville, Ohio State, Miami, and Ole Miss.

“Yeah, I’m interested in UM,” the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Julius said. “Dexter tells me ‘come to UM with him’ all the time, but I don’t have an offer from UM yet.”

Is a dynamic football player capable of filling multiple roles. At this current stage his physical stature may hinder his ability to hold up as a fulltime runner between the tackles if employed as a running back. Would need to be a change of pace scat back as a complement. Is built like a receiver, but this is where he has the most limited experience. However, his skill set is something we would start off on defense as a corner. He's got some length, great feet and he's flexible through the hips which stands out in limited reps on defense. He said naturally gifted return specialist who could make an impact early at that position.

Yep. Basically sounds like a kid that's already decommitted.

he looks like a capable kick off returner. 10.8 100m runner. If it solidifies Dex, I think he's worth a scholly.

This is similar to Whitfield, nothing special as a wr but an explosion with the ball in his hands. It looks like it would help with DW so lets take him and coach him up

Guess what day August 10th is?

:neonu: DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :quag:

Tough sell numbers wise. Miami still wants Cole and both Davis' & if Carlton picks OSU or S.Car august 12th, they will probably give Fenton or Antonio Howard a committable offer before this kid.

Besides being teammates with Williams, he's very meh. Better to let him go out of state, as I doubt Williams goes out of state. They aren't even longtime friends.

Fenton needs one anyway...

If you look at him as just a player and not being able to pull another player you pass on him. Just being honest

I agree I would pass. If I was going to offer someone that might help pull other players it would be Ronnie Hoggins. I think he's pretty good and might help with Ridley & SBB

What the 2015 class lacks more than anything is elite, blue-chip talent outside of the RB group. Keeping that group together is vital, especially when you think about the possibilities of having Williams on the field at the same time as Scarlett or Cronkrite.

I have no idea if potentially landing Julius would solidify Williams' commitment since it's been said that they haven't known each other all that long. But if it would, then it's a no-brainer, IMO. Just like Hoggins would be a no-brainer if it had a significant impact on Ridley and SBB somewhere down the line.

Play the game if it helps you land elite talent.

I've seen Hoggins live and looking at this kids film I wouldn't offer either and that's why Bama didn't offer Boggins.
