Local kid, tearing up Gaturds for Michigan. Played for Miramar I think. Passed over for us by RS. Bad decision.

Wasn't he a guy Golden offered late, while he was committed to Iowa, after the Brissett or whoever played Golden?
 
Who's Jake Rudolph? If it's Rudock, he played at St. Thomas and while Shannon did not recruit him Golden did, but decided to stick with Iowa.

You mean the kid who lost his job at Iowa and had to transfer to a place that didn't have a QB to ensure a starting job? Yeah....bad decision.

Played well at times this year, but i think it had more to do with Harbaugh than anything.
 
He's solely a product of Harbaugh. He was mediocre at Iowa. He's gotten better week by week due to good coaching. Without Harbaugh he'd be average.

Shows what Harbaugh can do.... did the same with Alex Smith when he got to SF

Well Micigan's QB coach is Jedd Fisch, he's not to shabby either. Did wonders with Morris until Coley screwed him up. Jake played a lot for Iowa.
 
Golden did make a run at him late but he decided to stay with Iowa. But I don't think he was Miami caliber.

Golden went after him but the kid wanted to go to Iowa and Golden couldn't convince him. Golden then also struck out on Brisset

Bridgewater was a long time commitment and started woofing around the time Shannon got fired. Golden had to scramble. Went after Rudock who was a long time commit for Iowa. When after Kevin Sousa but he stayed committed to Wake Forest. Same with Gary Nova at Rutgers. Made a late play for Brissett but he got Jack Daniels'd.

As I recall, the problem with Rudock was he was an STA guy and back then, under Coach Smith (think that was his name) STA guys just didn't decommit. Once they publicly committed to anyone, it was pretty much done. And Golden pushed hard. I remember them talking to Sousa and Nova but, as I recall, they never actually offered either one of them. He went hard for Brissett, and I think it was his mom that really wanted him to come to the U, but he was set on going to UF and beating out the kid from Oviedo who was suppose to the the top HS QB that year.
