Also he landed Artie who was ranked close to Howard but don’t think he was a 5 star. Corn Elder as well (though he was a RB)

Miami should never ever be lacking when it comes to wr RB and cb maybe s also. The region is too rich most year with that talent.

From numerous accounts he sucks at recruiting and sucks at relating to college kids. Doesn't mean he can't coach the position, but definitely undermines his value and fit for a college team.

He is at Houston now-Jan 2024. His fiance’s father is the head coach.

The two consistent issues we've seen reported are:

1. Whiffing on some key secondary targets in recruiting
2. Some players in the secondary not getting along with him (reportedly he's very tough, no non-sense type of coach, IDK how accurate that was/is).

D$ on tonight's CanesInsight live said it was in fact these two issues:

1. Recruiting misses
2. Interpersonal issues with some and not all DBs in the room.

I know it goes hand in hand but we haven't had much incentive for top corners to want to come here as of late.... Various positions go through cycles.... Right now DB's are stuck in the downside of a cycle.... Hopefully with Guidry here more DB's will give us a harder look.... Yes a good DB Coach/recruiter will help tremendously....
