One thing with Jacurri that is a special quality is the play is never dead. He extends plays like no other.

He's not perfect and his mechanics need work but all of that is fixable. His ceiling is through the roof.

Dude goes through progressions and sees the field. He's not just a big kid with an arm. Mechanics need polishing up, but that's standard for a HS kid to clean up at the college level.

He has a great feel for where the pressure is coming from. He needs it too cause his right tackle is terrible and the left tackle isn’t much better. He has all the tools you’re looking for.

Kid’s gonna need some time before he’s ready to play real minutes but **** if he doesn’t check all the “natural ability” boxes. You just can’t coach that size, arm strength or athleticism.

Kid has a howitzer for an arm. That first deep throw while running full speed to his right was filthy. It seemed to me like on many of his throws he was just flicking his wrist, and the ball was rocketing out of there.

Also showed great touch on the wheel route at the 4:03 mark.

His athleticism is off the charts, and his throws while out of the pocket or scrambling are fantastic.

I agree that he still needs some more work on his mechanics, but I see a big improvement already from his junior to senior season in his throwing motion. It’s a little bit more refined. His footwork when in the pocket and release are definitely improved.

If he keeps on improving on these, watch out. The sky is the limit.

He looks like Vince Young out there. He will need to be coached up from a mechanical and anticipation standpoint. Thankfully he won't be asked to contribute right away.

The fact that the QB room is in such good shape (gotta give Manny credit for that I guess) means the ceiling for this team, both in the short term and long term, is extremely high despite the glaring holes in it (gotta blame Manny here).
