Jacoby Brissett...2 year $30 million dollar deal

Didn't Al go to a basketball game and talk to him, coming away saying something strange like: "We are working on him, Jacoby has just the type of length we look for in a young man." I cant remember the exact quote but I know Golden was stricken by the young man's length.
I thought it was his girth that piqued Al's interest

OVERPAID and a rash decision. He is an at best solid back up qb

Maybe this is why the Indy “fans” are cursing Andrew Luck - because they all knew the morons in charge would do something stupid like this.

I seem to remember Alfredo desperately wanting this kid but running out of time to either flip him or get him to commit.

As far as brisket, a now defunct Texas Hold Em BBQ in Lauderdale was the best I've had in Florida. I'm open to any and all suggestions though as good brisket is a gift from the gods.

I do remember that we were hot on his trail but I don't remember if he committed. I would probably not remember him at all if his name didn't sound like brisket.

A good brisket sandwich is hard to find these days.

Miami got on him late. Committed to Florida. Transferred to NC State for final two years.

Yet another good quarterback the Gators had on their roster and ****ed away; just like Cam Newton and Will Grier.

Wasn't Brisett committed to the Canes at one time? He basically won the lottery with being in the right place at the right time.

Close. Came down to us and UF...he made a poor decision. It worked out for him after transferring but he probably would've started early at Miami. IIRC his mom wanted him at Miami and he wanted to also, but ended up following his friends to UF.

He was never committed.

Hahaa yea besides him being from Palm Beach that’s what also stood out for me. And we were recruiting him heavy once Golden was hired and when he decided to transfer from UF as well.

I'd rather have a good brisket sandwich.....

There’s no good brisket once you cross north of that ol’ Red River hoss.

Haha. You a Dallas guy? We did the touristy deal and hit up Pecan Lodge last year and it was good but I've always thought South Texas bbq was the best in the state.

Randy Shannon erred in not bothering to recruit Jacoby. Al arrived too late. We have had some spectacular QB recruitment fails.

I don’t understand this logic. He had 1 year left at $3 million but now you give 2 yr/30 million. That is like a 1 year extension for $27 million

He didn’t want to come to UM. He wanted UF. I think he was going to grey shirt with Urban then Muschamp came on board. I think with Randy we had Teddy anyway.

At the end, he definitely wanted to hangout with his buddies at UF regardless. But if you get in earlier, maybe that doesn’t happen.
