I will have more on this tomorrow. Sorry I couldn't be around all day, in the middle of finals.

FWIW, Shodell is standing by the story on CS. He says absolutely that Jackson said he had decommitted. Apparently Jackson did an interview where he explained that "Barrow was upset, the way any coach would be that lost a four star recruit". Those were Jackson's words supposedly. Kid actually referred to himself as a four star recruit. LMAO.

I think this kid has totally lost his mind with all this recruiting stuff. I get the feeling this kid may be a can short of a sixpack. He has seemed sort of all over the place the whole time.

I think the kid should take the next step and start referring to himself in the third person cause there seems to be a third person in his head anyway.

Whatever. He'll be a good prospect for some school. Hope he turns his potential into what it can become. The kids who go all over the place during recruiting seem to have a shaky history. Maybe it's just because they stand out more in memory. I love following this stuff, but I don't get as amped or as low as I used to anymore over it. Does it seem that this stuff happens now even more? Maybe it's twitter.

Lu, on a football note in relation to this kid...Dion Jordan?

The one super frustrating thing about recruiting (other than everything!) is never being able to truly get to the bottom of stories like this.So many different instances where **** goes down and we as the fans will never, ever know what exactly went down.

As far as Demetrius Jackson here, I would be willing to bet that he wanted to decommit and get the royal treatment on all if OV's and then make some sort of televised decision but Barrow came knocking on Golden's orders and pretty much laid the law telling Demetrius that if he looks then we look at his scholarship is no longer guaranteed. While it may be available for the time being, if he's looking and we start looking at other defensive ends and one of them bites, his scholly is no longer there to be had. Definitely scared him straight since it appears his heart truly is down here at Miami (for now at least....)

That being said, who really cares what happened. The bottom line is he is saying he's committed and won't be taking visits now after his talk with Barrow and we can only hope he is a man that decides to stick with this final decision. He is a **** of a talent and a **** of a prospect and this is a win win for both Jackson and UM as it is a mutually positive relationship and he will be making a greatly positive impact as a Hurricane. I look forward to him, Chad, and Nigel joining the Canes as the Booker T. kids that decided to swing the momentum back in our favor and bring that sixth trophy home with the rest of this ******* epic class.

Stay home, Demetrius. We gon' kill it down here for the next few years.
