His game when healthy I'm not overly concerned with ONLY because we've already seen his strengths and weaknesses. The concern comes about now out of the lber room BECAUSE WE NO LONGER HAVE THOSE DOMINANT EDGES WHO CAN SET AND SHED. Damon wilson is a liability against the run so far. Lord willing in our system he gets better. But at two stops previously he does nothing to help with the run. If Lightfoot starts at the other edge then we again are at a liability against the run. Lowe is our best hope in that category to go along with Blount. But lowe we haven't actually seen what we're gonna get in game time.

So for those confused that's where the concern with our backers come in. The issue with Mo and Wes (who we just established chase is a mixture of)is predominantly there lack of speed and ability to play in space. You combine that with edges who can't set and that makes running outside very problematic...

Are Toure and Chase Day 1 or Day 2 guys, no. So that alone tells you we can get better at LB. I worry less about them than what's behind them right now. I think they're good enough to get the job done. And I feel like we'll be okay at setting the edge even if we take a step down from Bain and Mesi who were exceptional at that. After them, a lot of question marks.

I love Hetherman. But dude should have gone after a LB this portal season when Bobby Washington and Popo both transferred out, Those were two talented guys (Bobby more potential than proven) who would have been our second team. I look on the roster right now and do not see anyone ready to fill their shoes.

Schedule early works out perfect to get the team to gel, you couldn't ask for a better schedule competition wise. But the Friday nights and **** like that is always meant to ***** us over. But we have cupcake teams early, its like a preseason schedule.

If we lose anything other than potentially to the pedos until the playoffs it's entirely on coaching.

I get what you saying but the schedule is definitely weak. That’s just off of the talent these other teams have. ND is the toughest game and then I think at clemson. Clemson ain’t what it used to be but they still got some talent. I think the sleeper game will be vt late in the season. I think Franklin a solid coach and I like the qb grunkenmeyer he flashed last year at psu

Agree we should do well but before I crown my boys I have to see it. Right now the OL DL I have to see even though we got big names

Both TE and LB needed a portal addition. I will not understand why the TE position was completely neglected.. Atleast at TE we heard some names, I know the Pitt guy was supposed to visit and that would of been a great get but Texas supposedly paid 2 mil for a LB, cant blame him for cancelling visit, lol..

With TE we did nothing and now we are depending on freshman at a spot you usually need time to get stronger for trench roles. The 2 returning guys are also most likely not Day 1 guys and we are TEU! They are not it at all.. Sad.

I think both will be fine especially the d-line because we got Moten and Scott inside. I do think the run defense from the edge will take a step back because Bain was elite vs the run and Messidor was very good

Yea I want to see how Wilson and the other DE sets the edge. I’m sure they will get a pass rush but I want to see them vs the run. I know Moten and Scott will ball, and the early reviews on Scott is he took his game to the next level. Can’t wait to see what that next level is

You don’t have to have 1st round picks in order to have success. Don’t think they are depending on mueller as he will probably be the 3rd TE. I think Gilbert has some potential. Dawson isn’t a big TE guy anyway

I sure as heck hope so.... they are by far the oldest LB duo as well.... hoping they set the tone every game..
