Same not sold on linebackers, waiting for the day. I hope Wiley takes that leap man.
Man people are crazy talking **** about our LBs! We had the best front 7 in college football last year. And Chase split time with Wes most of the year so he’s good. They both (toure and chase) stayed healthy all year last year. They are not superstars, but when they hit a bih they knock them back and that’s what we need from them. Stop the run and run to the ball. Once they took Toure out of so much open space, he balled out. We run an upfield, attacking 4-2-5. For you to be a successful run defense in that as your base, the LBs have so much responsibility in the box! Our guys were great at it last year. Our DTs aren’t the big hole pluggers that take on two guys every down. Everyone is getting upfield and attacking. That means the LBs are taking on and shedding blockers on every down.

I dont get it either, Chase played alot, even in playoffs, even in championship game.. No one said anything when they were in game together during championship game and holding it down. If I bought anything up its usually more about guys playing 8 years in cfb. I think that is tough on younger guys but if they werent weak point in defense last year, they wont be this year either..

the crazy part is their is a section of people who are shouting "you can tell he's a first round pick from three clips" as if there are an infinite amount of humans that can do what he did at 17-18 years old ... my reply is "you can't?"

They played well but we know we can do a whole bunch better. They played good though its not a knock on them but I always expect Miami to get better players every year when we up. Nothing wrong with wanting to get better every year imo. Chase was rag dolling dudes in the playoffs I said when we were on a run.

Needs to clean up the footwork but sheesh the raw size, power, and hand strength is a sight to behold. By the time we play FSU he should be settled in and ready to dominate.

Jackson Cantwell gonna catch a Felony vs the SemiWelterWeightNoles. Nole parents will be rushing onto the field yelling at him to be easy on their baby.

If there's ever a point in time I need to remind myself most people don't comprehend this game the same it's when I'm on here... #1 our FRONT 7 & our LBer room are separate units. While they play in random a lber room much like a DB room is semi reliant on the production of the line... We excelled last season because we had a DOMINANT LINE more specifically even when playing the run Our tackles didn't get pushed around and made plays & MOST OFF OUR EDGES WERE DOMINANT AT SETTING AND SHEDDING TO MAKE PLAYS. We dominated because of that unit and there's nothing else to it. Wes and Mo got exposed numerous times especially Wes due to there limitations. Mo struggled against the pass and Wes struggled to shed blockers and tackle in space. Chase is a combination of Mo and Wes who definitely had his moments last year mainly because he was a complimentary piece. His game when healthy I'm not overly concerned with ONLY because we've already seen his strengths and weaknesses. The concern comes about now out of the lber room BECAUSE WE NO LONGER HAVE THOSE DOMINANT EDGES WHO CAN SET AND SHED. Damon wilson is a liability against the run so far. Lord willing in our system he gets better. But at two stops previously he does nothing to help with the run. If Lightfoot starts at the other edge then we again are at a liability against the run. Lowe is our best hope in that category to go along with Blount. But lowe we haven't actually seen what we're gonna get in game time.

So for those confused that's where the concern with our backers come in. The issue with Mo and Wes (who we just established chase is a mixture of)is predominantly there lack of speed and ability to play in space. You combine that with edges who can't set and that makes running outside very problematic...

Met Mike Ryan at a bar Saturday night. We chatted for a while, he said Jackson struggled the first 3 practices but that he’s the real deal and will be the starter day 1.
Mentioned Wiley is moving to DE.

I have been wondering about this with wiley, literally every clip i see of him is him rushing the passer. Maybe he’s cross training but i never see clips of any other lb there

Facts, you can cover up a lot of weaknesses with great DL play

Grip strength is one of the most important attributes for olineman. Its why francis should go top5
If Francis and Ruben don't both go top 10(no later than top 5 for francis)gms need to retool their scouting rooms. Two easiest sure fire picks you can find. Yes there's a good possibility francis & Ruben play inside. But since when is versatility an issue. In some systems lt is in play for francis as well. He'd be all pro consistently inside but I personally have lil doubt for him at tackle either.

They are looking for every reason to ruin bain’s stock meanwhile reese has potential bust written all over him.

Which we'll see this season at times if our rush doesn't get home. Then we'll question at times if Lucas and oj are injured.
I am hoping Charles is ready just in case, and if that Wiley rumor is true to DE thats scary cause he would be a terror there imo.

Just no Bain to the Jets or any NFC East team besides the Gmen and I am ok with it. In a perfect world if I am the Giants I would take Bain and trade Lawrence. That would be a superbowl DL but they have other issues. I still would take Bain
