Nobody likes cherry picked statistics. It doesn't help make any argument, but it does lead people to believe you've got an agenda that's not objective. When you're looking at things like this, ask what a reasonable person would think. "Losing the sack battle" by giving up one more sack loses all the context of when those sacks were given up and is phrased to lead the reader to believe we allowed defenses to abuse Cam, when the opposite was true considering he sat in the pocket for an eternity to make sure he could make a play. None of that is on the OL.
I refer each of you to the post I was RESPONDING TO in which they pointed out that the ACC lead the country in team sacks and had individuals who were top in the country in sacks. A cherry picked stat trying to defend the ACCs lack of top defenses. I don’t see y’all saying anything about THAT ridiculous cherry picked stat? The “losing the sack battle” comment you guys are hung up on wasn’t even the point! It was just a comment in a sentence.

Then who else would you rather spend the money on? We aren't stealing one of the top WR from OSU or LSU. How did last year turn out with DBs
Just because he isn’t a day 1 starter doesn’t mean he’s not worth the investment. Pancake hasn’t started a game yet but I wouldn’t say he was a bad deal just yet, some kids just need more time to develop

Now you are arguing that we should have disregarded your dicta.

Hilarious.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

I don’t disagree with the thought process I just don’t think this kid is the one to do it with

I do not think he’s a day 1 starter

So I guess it just depends what you think of this kid. He has a LONG way to go but obviously unreal upside

Jackson Cantwell is only 16 years old. There’s going to be massive growth with his game in the next 16 months

Yeah you’re totally not contradicting yourself. *****ing about “cherry picked” stats while you cherry pick topics.

Oblivious.

What a ridiculous, non-responsive, and brain-dead post.

I never said "cherry-picked", Felonious did. I have no idea what "cherry pick topics" even means.

I just said that your stat was ridiculous, reductive, misleading, and proved nothing.

I’d bet on his potential all day every day

Just saying I think if you really take a look at some of the OL we are recruiting this year this isn’t some unicorn scenario

But I’m just some ****head on a message board

Am I the only one who’d rather drop an eye watering amount of money on a game changing skill player like WR or CB? Yeah it’d be awesome to land the #1 player but a WR can win you a game..an OLineman? Not as much. Not saying having a lockdown OT isn’t critical to being a championship caliber team but still..

For the record, this is not how this situation works.

If we lose out on Cantwell, "his money" will not go to other recruits.

This is a special, limited-duration, one-time deal when it comes to #1 overall types (Cantwell, Smith). Temporary credit line increase.

Appreciate the insight

I don’t like it but appreciate it
