Guess I was projecting some homerism into an increasingly wing and a bag situation. To overcome the following reality:

Anyone thinking Rosenhaus Sports repping Cantwell was going to be good for us is wild to me. Drew doesnt care about Miami other than if he can make money off of people.

His agency was behind the TVD post spring shakedown where he held Mario hostage, they rep Restrepo convinced him not to play in bowl game, but let him run the 40. Shawn O'Dare specifically.

Did the rep Horton? Not sure.

They were behind Colbie Young transfer to UGA.

No friend of the program.

Knowing we dont have unlimited money, would you pay Cantwell 6 million over 3 years or say a Johnnie Jones 2 million over 3 years?

If I say it’s a million a year and you read my post and say it’s a million a year based on what you read we now have multiple sources it’s a million a year and it’s obviously fact. Meanwhile it’s all made up. We see this when applying for FISA warrants.

I would not pay Cantwell 2 million a year. If we lose him because of that, then so be it. If he started as a freshman, and balled, I would restructure his deal. No way I'd pay 2 mil out the gate

The current total annual budget is unbeknownst to me and I’m assuming you so it’s hard to even make the assessment whether or not we should pay him. That said, given we are regarded out there as one of the top total spenders, I’d lean in that whatever our offer is, it will be competitive and then the market handles the rest.

We have no idea if he will be any good. Plenty of #1 recruits have been busts. Why would we pay him 2 million for a freshman year that he might not play?

I don't care what our budget is. This kid is totally unproven at the college level. Look at Samson.
