Fair points, and I agree with you.

I just think that they are in a no-win situation. They need to recruit well, which they are doing, but with the transfer portal I think it is harder to get noticeable results.

If memory serves me correctly Cooper starting as a freshman was before the modern transfer portal was available to utilize.

The board would have gone insane if we chose to start Cooper as a 3 star freshman versus addressing that position in the portal during that off-season.

Just to clarify Rodriguez was already here when Mario got here so even if he does turn out to be serviceable he wasn’t an M&M eval. Also, Cooper did start as a freshman and was one of the few bright spots that year but we surrounded him with portal trash in Sagapolu and Denis.
