2027 JaBarrius "Chicken" Garror 4* DE from Mobile, AL (Vigor HS) Flips to Texas from Alabama

How many classes are there in Bama? 2X 5A lineman of year? impressive

Maybe not Forstall, Bryant, Evans…But I'd say right behind them and one of top 10-12 edges in country.

My man JT finally looking strong on the DE board I've been bytching about lol

Muhammed (DE/DT)
Evans (DE/DT?))
Efunbajo (DL)
Garrer
Dawson
Finley
Wittenberg
Jacobs of course
Rojas maybe
Ghiotto if re-classifies
Bryant of course(super-longshot imo)
Vaughn (looking more like ND daily though?)

Love to grab 3 off that list. If I had to guess the ones that may not have commitable offers and waiting on others/needing senior year at this time are Efunbajo, Rojas, Finley…Pure guess. I lean towards Evans, Wittenberg, and Dawson being commitable but no idea. Maybe Ards as well, but that seems to be mild interest both ways from the jump.
Was 7 in prior years, going to 6 this year.

I can't get there imo

Wouldn't be the first lunderrated ocal to commit without a lot of publicity. But I think we'd hear just a little more about him.

I mean even if we say Jacobs isn't coming

Garrer
Dawson
Ghiotto/Evans/Wittenberg

Who you leaving out there? I personally think they need to see a SR. year Finley, but you may be right.
JT offered Finley when he was at STA and I only see a Miami OV scheduled on 247. TBD ofc

I think Ghiotto stays in the ‘28 class. Not sure which 3 outta those 4 i like the best; Garrer wouldn’t get left out tho

Based on tape and measurable I gotta take Dawson over Finley.

But Finley is impressive too…. We see a lot of Sofl offers early in their career, not all are commitable.

Yeah i like Dawson a lot; I just don’t know if that was a Hetherman or JT offer and how they have him compared to the rest of the board.

Like with LB, we offered Jarrell Chandler and Drew Williams recently; Hetherman visited Glover, Henderson, Randle and Mayfield all of whom he has been recruiting for a longtime.

So there is some reflexiveness on the coaches part as well imo. Gotta see how everything shakes out as time moves along.

Garror plans to announce his commitment on July 4th and is down to four schools: Auburn, Florida State, Georgia and Texas. He already took his official visit to Georgia and will see Texas (June 5) and Florida State (June 12) to end his summer schedule.

Grrrr. Would have liked this kid on board

AU? They appear to be paying to play and just got his teammate. They have traditionally done well at Vigor too. We know where he aint going.

Alabama high school football is better than ever and ‘Bama isn’t reaping the benefits. The top 8 players in the state are not going to ‘Bama, and it’s possible that expands to the top 11 shortly.

Wild times….DeBoer goes anything worse than 11-1 & the pressure to change coaches will be palpable.

They have to becareful what they wish for there. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Its a higher likelihood that there is something worse than Deboer on the other side of the fence than there is another Saban.

In addition to Gabbor, James Pace III is scheduled to announce soon: June 17th. Crystal ball’d to Auburn.

If they get Pace + Gabbor, I’d wonder how that affects the chances of them getting Evans who was seen as an Auburn lean.

Agreed. DeBoer is one of the best HCs in the sport right now. That said, those mfs (fans way more so than the admin) are crazy and that extension was a false vote of confidence when one truly digs into the details.

Alabama has set themselves up to benefit from another program hiring him & buying him out rather than them firing him.

I think another 10-2 scenario, with no deep playoff run, would create a lot of toxicity that would just roll over into 2027.

He just signed an extension and AD said he doesn't like changing coaches. I doubt it.

That Michigan and Penn State smoke last season wasn’t idle speculation. I don’t think any AD likes changing coaches because it makes their seat hotter. And i don’t think DeBoer will get fired either. He’ll be hired elsewhere if it comes down to it.

All the extension did was add two years on the backend of the original contract for the two years he has already been the HC at Alabama; while raising his pay by 2M annually so that Alabama maintains a premier destination for coaches: especially compared to their rivals Georgia and LSU.

Besides projecting stability, the real importance of the extension was that they changed his buyout from 3 million dollars through Jan 31st 2027 and $0 afterwards to 10 million dollars through Jan 31st 2027 then $8 million, $6 million, and zero in the consecutive end of January (‘28, and ‘29) dates afterwards.

AlaBama-football apparatus (fans, boosters, media, etc) won’t stomach a 9-3 season w/ Auburn having a better recruiting class than them. 10-2 would be a toss-up. 11-1 and he’s good.
