Those who do not learn from mistakes are bound to repeat them.

He was a little light coming in like a lot of edge players coming out of high school but I don't think he was particularly weak. he just wasn't a great player. I remember a few guys here, who's opinions I respect, saying his film was not 4 star film and that he was basically being graded on potential and not production.

That's how I recall it as well. I was good with the take as a project, kid had/has the measurables. But we needed high confidence DE recruits to balance out the class, and instead we got Davis and Tyler Johnson who both were DE/LB hybrids that didn't work out. Our evals were just atrocious.

Anyway, best of luck to JI wherever he lands.

What exactly does bashing 18-22 year old young men accomplish? Yes I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but every player that comes through here isn't going to be Ray Lewis.

if we had signed Ray Lewis on NLOI day and this board was in existence the coaching staff would have been attacked for it.

....kind of sounds like he actually was Miami material

Some people felt he was overrated and we were in the hunt for several other top guys that Manny couldn’t close. He should have been the only project in a 3 DE class.

I didn’t think anyone was bashing him. People saying we should have gone after the dude who is crushing it at fsu is not bashing nor is speculating that his dad being on staff played into his offer

Ishmael sighting for Marshall. Unfortunately they had to help him off the field. He built himself up a bit - looked rangey with long arms.
