Anyone have an idea what his injury is aside from the obvious. Honestly he seemed like a liability most of the time vs Toledo. He seems to be playing with one arm.
And no, I'm not bashing the guy so relax.

Could it be there is technique confusion from the pass DLine coach to the new DLine coach?

It seems like an injury that won’t be fully healed this year. You can tell it hinders him tremendously, especially with his counter moves.

Joe Jackson is what he’s always been a de with a bullrush and if you shut that down then you can stop him. If he wants to go first round after this season or the next he needs to simply develop more moves because right now he doesn’t have them other than that bullrush. He still was pretty productive last game and had 2 tackles for loss

Agree with only having a bullrush, but now he’s lost his explosiveness with the added weight

not bagging on the kid but it's more than a technique issue. rewatch the sav st game. their LT shut him down repeatedly. Sav st. i gotta think that left elbow brace is killing his movement. i refuse to believe he got bad due to a new coach.

Like RJ and Norton, he’s talented but nowhere near ready for the league. Looks stiff for some reason this year.

He's dinged up, for one. He does need to improve his repertoire of pass rushing moves. So, he’s a lock to declare. The NFL will suggest he stay, some agent or handler will whisper '2nd round, latest', and he'll be a 5th round pick.

Yes, there is some sarcasm. Just a little.

He looked slow off the snap on Saturday.

Not sure if that's been the case all season.

He made some good plays on Saturday and missed some. The whole defense seems to be trying to figure things out. Let’s give everyone a 4-6 game sample size before we call them our.

He is dinged up.

But I thought Toledo was his best game to date. So I think he's on the upswing back to playing at his potential

Will y’all give the man some slack he’s got that huge brace on his arm , you can’t expect him to be all world just yet

Multiple things are allowed to be true at the same time. Those things are:

1. He's clearly hurt
2. He's been a big disappointment through 3 games

Do those things have something to do with one another? Possibly. Probably. But the bottom line is, he has been a disappointment. So if it's only because of injury, we've lost Rousseau and have 70% of Joe Jackson. D-Jax has already been hurt....is he ever truly 100% for the rest of the year? This is not a great recipe at DE for the next 9+ games. REALLY can't afford any issues with Garvin or Patchan for the rest of the year.

He’s def coming off the ball hella slow. I remember he said that Simpson has emphasized more of run defense so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. The brace must be very limiting. Doesn’t look like himself.

He has bad elbow bursitis. And it wont get better unless he just takes the season off. He's playing through a lot of pain and its obvious he's not the same.

People blaming the DL coach just baffle me. Garvin and Willis are killing it, yet somehow Simpson is ruining Jackson? Makes no sense
