Ivey starting again

@Liberty City El … u probably already answered it, but what do u think is the rationale for Ivey starting?

Is it some sort of combo of these?

1) experience
2) greentree all American
3) is actually better than previous years
4) everyone else is worse than him

Just curious, cause it seemed like he didn’t have that great of a game against BCC and it was closer to same ol

Not sure how much all that matters. Mesidor isn’t playing and he’s listed as a starter.
 
The starters won't change until week 4 at earliest. Coaches go with who they trust in big games is what it is. Unless a WR goes for 100 yards today on Ivey he will trot out there next week too.
 
I'd rather Chase & Wes "learn the playbook" by being on the field in games we have no shot of losing.

Versus getting 10 snaps and playing guys where we know exactly what their ceiling is and its barely power P5 level at best.

Starting to think it might be #4
 
I hate calling out a college kid. Just obvious now though that other teams are looking to exploit him in coverage AND running to his side. Even when the coverage is there, he finds a way to give up the pass or miss an interception. Feel bad for the guy but this is not the standard.
 
Our seniors aren't good we have 1 or 2 that should be starting. Yes Hedley is a senior.

Who is going to start over Ivey.Curtis was getting ints all fall camp and was abused and sat today.Porter had a couple of chances to make plays today and was awful too.

5) Coaches listen to D$ podcasts and get hypnotized
 
Ivey is no bueno. But c’mon…Stephenson was beat often (fortunate a few targets were dropped). He looks slow as a cover corner. Yes, he is better than Ivey but that’s not saying much. Curtis? Burnt toast on back-to-back plays. Porter? Meh so far. Dunson? Probably deserves more reps.

Bottom line: Corners might be the weakest link on the team which is incredibly shocking based on practice and scrimmage reports.
