Well you all dropped 17 points or less 4 times last season vs UK, Mizzou, Georgia and Miss St...

Total Defense according to ncaa last year had

Miss St # 1
Georgia #13
Kentucky #23
Mizzou # 62

Miami's Total Defense was ranked #4 so its not all that fathomable that 14 points could be scored. Remember not much changed with our defense from last year. Even though Baker is the DCoord his defense mirrors what Manny was running. Im thinking this game will be low scoring

Now on the flip side we gave up 20 points or more 7 times last year, but that was not a true reflection on the defense. Our offense and punting game absolutely had a direct effect on the defense in those games, but other than the LSU game and Wisconsin game which we got blown out in our defense did well considering what our offense was doing.

My buddy pointed out something to me that I never realized but had we had an offense that was even 50% better than they were then we most likely beat Virginia , Duke and Ga Tech (we lost by combined 17 pts) . Our record would have been 10-3 or 10-4 after losing to Clemson in the ACCCG and Richt probably would have never retired and kept thinking his playcalling and offense was working.

The mindless/clueless blathering by many on this message board prior to the LSU opener as to how we were going to annihilate the Tigers turned out to be a brutally hard-learned lesson. Yet, the forthcoming Gator game appears to be groundhogs day, whereas we should all be quietly laying in the tall grass preparing to sucker punch those toothless frauds.

My despising those septic tank dwellers began long before the "Gator Flop," and those feelings have only intensified with each passing year.

I loved those days when our players would Muhummad Ali, our competitors. Regrettably, over the last decade-plus, I have witnessed a poor imitation of that bravado where it turned out we were Chihuahuas chasing, yapping and nipping at the wheels of fast-moving automobiles, as onlookers roared with laughter.

Florida is overrated this year. I am going to say this right now. UF will NOT be the toughest game on our schedule. Consult this statement in November. Please.

We do get up for big games and this will be a rivalry game. I expect the same intensity from our team as the ND game, the gator...maybe not so intense as they seem over confident.

Confidence? I prefer to look at it as a glancing blow with reality. My comments should be all the more disconcerting when one considers I even found positivity in the Shapiro fiasco. Of course, that positivity was witnessing that midget Pr!ck being sentenced to a long prison term with the hopes he has been the guest of honor at numerous gang rapes.

When we beat them we will be given credit for a big upset cause not many of anyone not wearing orange and green think we can win.So 3-2,7-3,50-10 don’t care.All I want is a W by the good guys....after last years debacle after all the bravado I’m just looking for 1-0.Dont care how we get it.

I know we’re going to score plenty but what really is the WOW factor here is our D front seven if you know anything about football from even watching it on tv or NFL games you go to know this Cane front is loaded and talented.

What I also feel is they DAM KNOW IT plus there being professionally adult about it and preparing for a RECKONING yes a RECKONING and when this game is over and they’re asked what the he’ll just happened out there in this physical BEATING.

Right... I have always felt predicting scores is silly, and unless you are a betting man all that matters is a W. On 8/24 I'm gonna be so pumped... no alcohol, no substances just pure Canes football... I'll celebrate after the game.
