Wes looking ready to go. Francisco impressing., Man are we thin AF, smh ...
Add Flagg starting barring injuries to that.If Ragone see's the field this year in any quarter besides the 4th during clean up duties...that tells me everything i need to know lol

Flagg looked pretty fluid in these drills. I'd say he looked a lot better than the walk-ons. However, there was a big difference in speed, quickness, and explosiveness when compared to Wesley, Keontra, and Francisco.watching this video, flagg looks like a walk on. his moves like they do in the video.

He catches some hate, but I feel the majority of his criticism or "hate" is in regard to his athleticism and ability. This video doesn't lie. It's night and day difference in his athleticism (speed, quickness, fluidity, explosiveness, etc...) when compared to our other scholarship linebackers. Even our true freshman #17, Bobby Washington, already looks more athletic or whatever term you want to use compared to Flagg.Flagg catches a lot of hate but not his fault he’s been the only option till now that can play Mike

Yeah… we thin as fucc. we can’t afford a half of an injury.
Agreed regarding Francisco but I also thought Wes and Bobby Washington looked the part out there. No surprise with Wes and I'm looking forward to seeing him come into his own this season. I love the LBs we signed in this 2023 class but I'm beginning to think that the true home run of this cycle may end up being Bobby Washington #17. Kid has size, speed and reportedly great instincts in addition to being a big hitter. What really intrigues me however is if he has any ability to play in coverage. He has the speed. I might be getting way ahead of myself but a kid that size with his speed could give Lance Guidry the ability and flexibility to do many things out of a 4-3 base with BW at SAM. Just a thought. Two things:
1. I swear Ragone has been here since 2018; got ****!
2. Seeing Francisco & Flagg go through mirrored drills should clearly show why Flagg gets in trouble when out in space. He’s not fluid, at all, in the hips. One of the things I criticized the offer was it was clear he’s a coachable kid, but he was too mechanical & robotic w/ his approach. He takes & uses too many steps due to lack of fluidity & explosion.
Francisco looked the best out of the bunch. Hit a HR w/ this portal pick, imo.
It’ll dictate the season for us no doubtOur run stopping ability is going to be a big time question mark next season. Praying that we will stay healthy.
yes. compared to them, he's clearly a notch below.Flagg looked pretty fluid in these drills. I'd say he looked a lot better than the walk-ons. However, there was a big difference in speed, quickness, and explosiveness when compared to Wesley, Keontra, and Francisco.
problem with flagg is he can be smart but he never "blows up" a play. hes always there tackling after the plays been made.Agreed regarding Francisco but I also thought Wes and Bobby Washington looked the part out there. A player like that could be used as a blitzer or a stand up rusher off the edge giving us a 5-2 look or as a bigger safety/Rover type giving us a 4-2-5. That type of flexibility without having to sub would be a great asset. This is what I had envisioned for Chase Smith and with any luck he can stay healthy and give us yet another versatile chess piece for Guidry to scheme with.
