ITT We Follow Potential 2015 Coaching Candidate Week 4

Two MAC coaches I have been following for the last 2-3 years has been Dino Babers (Bowling Green) and Matt Campbell (Toledo).
Both have interesting backgrounds and run the type of offenses that would kill with soFla talent.

I've had my eye on Herman, I'm liking what I see

If Herman is as good as many suspect, he won't be there for more than 2 years.
He has a good staff on both sides of the ball and the previous coach left him some talent.
Maybe the next coach at Texas?

Medley,
What are your thoughts on Jeremy Pruitt? He has long intrigued me as a recruiter and defensive mind.

All he does is win everywhere he goes.
Solid coach.
He wouldn't be a bad hire.
My concern with hiring coaches from the defensive side of the ball is that sometimes they
are unwilling to open up the offense.
I just think we need an offensive guy at the helm who is willing to move us into the 21st century on
that side of the ball, and while we have to be realistic and understand that we are not going to land
an elite coach (yet), we need to find someone who has a proven track record and who is associated
with good coaching trees.
In other words, we are not in a position to get a Brian Kelly or Urban Meyer type of coach from their
current jobs, but we can get that type before they reach that level (like when they were at Central Michigan
or Bowling Green, respectively).

If by some miracle AG is fired after the season we need to offer Herman or Chad. We'll have a unstoppable offense. They just need to hire a good DC. AG and DNO are the only clowns that don't at to our strengths and recruiting grounds. Someone else will.

Another coach I am keeping an eye on is Joe Moorhead at Fordham.
Runs a wide-open offense and before that gig was Randy Edsall's OC at UConn,
so he has some ties to the next level of football.
But I need to see a bigger sample size from him, a few more years plus at a bigger
job.

Bowling Green been balling this year so far they were playing Tennessee tough until the last 3 minutes of the 1st half after that it went down hill....

They recouped today though. Beat Maryland 48-27

OT: Will Likely scored again special teams seems like he makes plays weekly for the terps they just aren't good overall.

Campbell (Toledo) will have his hands full today as he plays at Arkansas.
He lost 4 OLine starters from last year too.
I want to see how he handles this game.
