ITT We Discuss Possible Golden Replacements

Slow down here, folks. Love Chad as an offensive coordinator and he's definitely saved Dabo's bacon, but we're talking about the head coaching position. of a program with several unique challenges (Won't get into that nonsense here). He's had a very brief run in the college game as a coordinator, but the bulk of his coaching is at the high school level in Texas. No way you turn over the keys to the UM program to him.

Butch would eat our lunch.

We've already seen it.

Butch eats opponents lunch. Guaranteed. It's a habit of his.

Get Butch.

You do not have to have Miami ties for the Hurricanes to win you have to have good coaching, recruiting and put a good product on the field.I'm a die-hard Miami fan but people on this site do not know football and talking out of their *** just because you coach under Butch Davis doesn't make you the next Butch Davis Nick Saban didn't have ties to Alabama Chip Kelly didn't have ties to Oregon I can go on and on bottom line is Miami need to spend money and get better coaches.

I sure miss the days of dreadlocks and gold teeth...wtf has happened to my beloved U

With people like you, its no wonder our country has gone to complete ****.

Typical crack. Riding the shaft of dreaded and slugged-up players like a rodeo cowboy when championships were won. People like you are simple Jock-sniffin' cheerleaders dumb, deaf, and blind as to why "our country has gone to complete ****."

How do you really feel?

Frank Beamer owns Butch, so does Paul Johnson. What Butch did here the first time was miraculous, but he is what he is. After North Carolina, no way Miami considers him while they're on probation.

I know won't stop the nonsense so I won't tell you. But everyone is laughing at your opinion. Butch will not get a look here after what happened at unc.

Sadly, this is correct. I think Donna is in a place where she'd be willing to look past Butch's actions when he left UM, but given the stuff that went down on Butch's watch @ UNC, I dont think Donna or any BCS AQ school will look at Butch.

Ok so start crossing off names Strong is going to Texas
Kiffin never in a million years

Lol at those just dismissing Franklin as an option and comparing him to golden at temple. As if the history is the same, sec vs mac. And as if Texas, penn state, and oh yeah, 3+ nfl teams will have interviewed him or requested to in the last week.

im not saying he should be our guy, just laughing at some of the armchair ad/gm's here in denial of what much better experts in the field must feel about him.

Butch for king of Miami. The University wants butts in the seats and donations… HIRE Butch

Butch still has Miami blood in his veins.

Butch at the moment is available.

Butch put one of those National Championships in our trophy case, and almost had us set up for the second.

Butch is a top, if not THE top talent evaluator in the nation.

Butch is a top, top recruiter, proven time and again.

Butch would not jump ship at the next, best climbing opportunity.

Butch would be coming home.

Butch knows the Miami culture, tribal customs, expectations, and workings.

Butch has instant credibility. With position coaches, recruits, and players. He's been there, and done that.

Butch is a proven program builder, from scratch to National Champions.

Butch, unlike say, Petrino, is unabrasive and will not embarrass the University.

Butch will bring stability and enthusiasm to the University.

Butch, currently, is affordable.

Unlike great coordinators, or coaches who've had a good season or two, Butch is a known factor, and they're all good. We won't have to worry about other teams poaching Butch, as he's already been through that game, and is looking for stability.

Butch knows who the really good coordinators and position coaches are, and he too, is mature enough to get the best possible, and not be burdened with excess baggage.

Best of all, Butch doesn't have to blow sunshine up our skirts with catchy phrases to convince us that he has a plan.

And once again, under Butch, we'll see a return of emphasis on speed, aggressive offense and defense, and Miami ballin' out.

After all, that's what he does.

I'm with you 110% UMFarArcher

His understanding of how to win at Miami is unparalleled.

His eye for talent at the player level and coach level is second to none.
