It's time.

I don't know what Mario's buyout would be. I'm guessing, it will probably cost about $28m to move on from him, and around another $5m-$10m for the assistants. But if there ever was a time to do it, it's now. Yes, LSU, UF, and PSU all have openings, but Miami would be right there in the mix as a top job. Obviously, we have a good roster coming back (if players stay; and depending on the coach, they would return), a top 15 class, we play in dog **** & wide-open conference, updated facilities, a national brand, easy path to the CFP, and on, and on.

Why is the time now to do it?

Lane, Dillingham, Drinkwitz, Lea, Heupel, Sumrall, Huff, and of these guys would take Miami to the next level.

Mario ain't it. It's over. He can't win games in November; he consistently loses games Miami is favored, his ball control offense keeps opposing teams in the game, Miami is terribly undisciplined, and although Hetherman was a great hire, Gattis, Steele, Strong, Guidy, and now Dawson were and are failures. Is there any doubt now that Ward, Restrepo, Arroyo, Martinez, Fletcher, and a way better 2-5 WR depth made Dawson.

I can't stand Nevin Shapiro. But I admit I listened to his "Willis McGahee" podcast, and there's no doubt that rat was telling the truth about Mario and members of his staff not liking him (hello, Dawson).

Next season's schedule for a new coach is set up pretty nicely. Home games against Florida A&M, FSU, Pitt, Central Michigan, BC, and VaTech, with road games at ND, Clemson, UNC, Stanford, and Wake Forest.

Add to this very favorable schedule, probably the best roster returning in the ACC.

Support for the program is only going to get worse next season after another 3-4 losses (even with another very favorable schedule).

It's time. Cut the cord. Move on from Mario.
Do we really play in a dog **** conference? I hear this every year yet we struggle. Can't blow anyone out and put them away. Until further notice Miami is just another middle of the pack ACC team.

Nah, keep donating, canes connection gets us the players. We could have the ******* 85 bears and Mario would go 9-3. It’s malpractice and a disservice to those who donate and spend thousands on flights, hotels, etc to continually lose the same way over and over to inferior opponents. **** is ova

Mario should do the right thing and resign. Go be an Oline coach in the NFL or a recruiting coordinator. This ain’t for you fam you ain’t it. If you love this program like you say you do, then do the right thing. You tried homie you ain’t the one to bring us back.

**** Cristobal. idgaf, he's useless as ****. Recruit all to ****, if you can put them in positions to win on the gameday field then what the **** is all this for? I can't stand CMC. For someone who is a Miami guy, he don't coach like one. There were atleast 3 plays you could call in that 0:30 to give the kicker a chance to win it. ******' piece of **** kneels it out. That ain't the Miami way.

If that’s the case then so be it. He completely wastes all this NIL anyway year after year. Better chance a smart and innovative coach can maximize less talent if they get the right guy. But this is never going to happen anyway they aren’t buying him out now.

Ok. Do it then. Agitate and make it happen.

Fair enough.

That’s choice the school is allowed to make.
No doubt and I’m also not pounding the desk for him to be fired

It just sucks to be in Year 4 and we are still having the same conversations and to me, there isn’t a single logical solution to it

My biggest fear when he was hired is he would do enough to not get fired (because he was borderline un-fireable for reasons you mentioned) but he would be incapable of getting us over the hump

4 years later staring at that realization, even if it wasn’t unexpected, still blows

That doesn't mean we don't play in a dogs hit conference. We do.

Brother I can’t fault you, I have been the biggest supporter of Mario but this is unacceptable. CFB is a business, in business if you don’t produce, you get fired. Mario is a good man, we may never find someone who works harder and loves U more but at the end of the day, results matter. Give him a GM role, the CC mafia will be happy, keep the money coming and hire a coach.

Signed business owner…

Lmao!

Miami goes to 4-8 and 7-5 land with VT, Pitt, and the bottom feeders of the ACC.

That’s what’s on deck.
As opposed to paying 2-5x more than those schools, going 7-5/10-2 and achieving the same amount those schools do? Less considering they actually sometimes win their bowl games?

Ok. Do it then. Agitate and make it happen.
If the mafia isn’t going to give NIL to the next guy, why would they pay 60 million to fire their guy? It won’t happen. Like I said over a year ago, if manny Diaz (who is not some amazing coach) was given Mario NIL we would be in no worse a position than we are now. I got plenty of face palm emojis for that. It is what it is like you said. We are screwed. Just a massive waste of money.

He’s not the one to bring Miami back.

He’s also going to bring the program tumbling down when he fails and the big $ gives up on resurrecting the program.

This is the last shot.

Texas Am Yes GIF by Texas A&M University

I would even take this guy.

Yep, it’s clear he has raised the floor of the program but that also might be the ceiling unless he does some real soul searching.
