It's time for Richt to retire

Richt to the Cane faithful...

He’s living off his name. If this was some random coach putting up these results, he’s canned.

Richt needs to retire

Has no ability to gameplan, coach, or get a team ready to play big time football anymore
With announcers calling him out week after week, it's a really bad look. Basically every talking head out there is saying, "WTF are you doing?" The noise is getting too loud to ignore anymore.

His name sucked. He was fired at UGA and never accomplished what they wanted in 15 years.

When your program is full of dipchits, you hire a corch like Richt. Then you give out an unnecessary extension and really stick with the self-inflicted cancer approach.

Sadly, short of getting caught with a dead hooker in his car, Richt will be our coach for at least one, but probably 2 more years. Until the BoT takes football seriously they'll always try to hire AD's and Coaches on the cheap. They don't have that SEC mentality where Football Revenue > Everything Else. They just don't get that they're killing their brand. These kids today have never seen a great U team. How long can we show some old dusty video clips to get them to come here.

I think the kids on the team know this. If the announcers know it, how could the team not know it?
Have a feeling Richt just might retire after this season. He owes it to these kids to have a chance to play real football and have a chance at the NFL.

I don't remember national commentators calling out Golden for his horrible defense. It wasn't because it wasn't horrible, because it was. It was because it wasn't as completely obviously horrible as Richt's offense. Any casual fan could tell he's clueless.

I'm not going to say he won't be the coach next season, but there is no chance Richt is calling plays next season.

Richt isn’t retiring. Stop it. No one will walk away from Millions.

True. I say we switch him to diving coach. No pay cut just title and responsibility change. Then we can use his buy out to hire someone who actually knows some quality assistants and has NO kids.

It was also because Golden had a DC, and he wasn't calling plays himself. When you're a HC and you take on OC or DC duties, and fail horribly, you will get called out. Especially on the O side, where even casual fans can tell when something is terribly wrong.
