Honestly, the day Shalala entered the picture the program went to ****.Was over the moment Shannon signed his contract to replace Coker.
Don’t let liberals ruin your city, country, CFB team. Given the chance, they will.

I disagree, tho that was the first idiot move. Was over the moment Shannon signed his contract to replace Coker.

Once the cancer Shalala was gone and our BOT finally decided to spend decent $$$ in Richt...you build on that with your next hire...you don't regress.
Maybe Manny gets it one day....but if your UM and you care about becoming relevant again, you don't start a new learning on the job project
Stop making sense !!!My problem with Manny was not his inexperience. His hires showed he has few name connections in the industry. He knew Enos from coaching against him, okay, but then hired offensive assistants who lacked any real P5 experience. They hired from the few coaches they knew. Defensively he went for continuity, but when Simpson returned to the NFL Manny hired a guy he knew at FSU/NC State, a coach from Akron. His choice for DC? A guy he knew from LATech.
I want staff changes this offseason but I don’t believe Manny has the connections to hire top assistants. Say they fire Barry, the OL coach. Who are they going to try and hire? Would a highly respected and experienced OL coach want to work for Manny? Would the school pay for one?
A inexperienced HC is only half the problem. A first time HC with excellent credentials as a coordinator is fine, if he knows top people and can hire them. Kirby Smart knew everyone from his association with Saban, and hired some top people (Coley not withstanding).
