It's Not Just On Mario [many are dumb for not kneeling]

Look, I get that Mario is the HC and absolutely should have stepped in and said 'what the **** are you idiots doing, kneel the ball' but unless he actually told Dawson to run it*, this is just as much if not more on Dawson and then TVD gets some blame for not recognizing it as well as about 100 other people who should have seen it and have varying degrees of ability to do something about it.

*This is the only thing that makes sense to me; that someone (not sure if Mario was part of the decision) decided that they knew they could kneel it but wanted to run another play (maybe to get Chaney over 100 yards?). Now if Mario knew about that (or was the one who decided it) and let it happen, then shame on him. If he didn't know about it then he should have at least caught it and shut it down, but unless he is the one that came up with the idea to run the ball, there are plenty of other people that deserve at least as much, if not more, blame than him.
If that is true, whoever made the decision to run it to get chaney 100 yards instead of kneel it should be fired on the spot.

Disagree Mario ain’t calling plays his only job should be clock management in that situation I could understand Dawson not knowing as he is trying to get a play call in and communicating with coaches what they seeing
Trying to get a play call in? They were sitting there milking the clock. Mario does not get a pass, but no way Dawson does either.

Sre you sure that wasn't after the GT time out? We snapped at 5 seconds every other play on the drive.
I haven't seen it much this season other than the end of this game and probably b/c there havent been a lot of situations where it was relevant, but TVD was horrible last year with clock management when it came to snapping.

Utimately Mario is the CEO and blame falls on his shoulders because this wasn't rocket science or you need a math degree. Take a knee three times and the game is over period. The fact that he let the running plays go on or wasn't aware of the situation is mind boggling. Thare are plently of people that should be accountable. First of all for all the good he has done Dawson has rocks for a brain. I can only think he was trying to get Chaney over 100 yards but regardless how dumb can you be? Second, TVD is not that smart and this isn't the first time. On the last possession there were probably 8-9 snaps that the ball was snapped between 3-9 seconds left on the clock. If they took it to 1 0r 2 seconds NONE of this would have happen. How about the center Matt Lee and he is suppose to be the glue behind the offensive line and ring leader. He has to be accountable too. Why didn't any other coach raise the flag of stupidity? I have been an outspoken critic of Mario since day one as the worst day game head coach ever. Last night was a testimony to that. I think if the CANES CAN STRINGS SOME VICTORIES THEY WILL BE OKAY. Otherwise if they falter big time I believe the program is over. Last night Mario lost the community, the fans, recruits and parents of the recruits, and most likely many players. I'm happy after 35 years of being a season ticket holder I didn't renew because of Mario. He needs to apologize to everyone ASAP. I have been saying this since he arrived but UM needs an assistant coach to make EVERY DAY GAME DECISION. Not to consult with Mario during the game but tell him what to do! I've been watching football for 63 years and I have never witnessed a coach so inept on gameday!

I think they were tryna get Don 100 fr
That's exactly what they were doing. Don was getting all the carries that final drive as we were trying to run out the clock. Totally fine. I think they were trying to reward Don for his tough running. He was picking up first downs and he also got his helmet ripped off his head during that drive.

Before that last play of the fumble, Don had 98 yards. 36 seconds left and down is 3rd and 10. We don't need to pick up a first down or even run another play. Just take a knee, but I guess the coaches were adamant to get him over 100 yds.

For what it is worth, Mario denied this when specifically asked about it, but I don't know if I believe him.

Still in disbelief this happened. I don’t remember a time when a game announcer was so adamant about a situation. Before we snapped the ball Hasselback was shocked that we would run the ball and that TVD was snaping the ball with so much time left on the PC. The. The quote of the year about how bad a decision it was. We could not have played worse on offense and for the team to rally and get the lead back was impressive. Then our coaches decided to get cute even though all night the offense was questionable at best. Not sure if was to get Chaney to 100, try to get another score to impress recruits or poll voters. Still can’t believe it happened and Mario better get the staff and team leaders in a room today and get everyone on the same page.
