It's a start... Perry and Weldon get reps with the 1s (today's practice)

At the very least what I expected to see given Rozer's peformance Sunday. I am a little more encouraged. It's only Tuesday so let's see if the number of reps changes any in the following days. Maybe tomorrow one of the other guys gets the lion's share, and then next day some other guy. Let the process play out. Pretty sure Richt sees what we see but also has to manage his qb's egos and confidence levels.

I figured that out already. He is a practice HERO! He is great at reading our D. Our scout D makes it much easier to read the calls. So in practice he is able to make all the reads, throw quick to the right checkdowns, but when the REAL lights come on he craps himself. The young guys are basically still at that place, this is close enough to real so they don't know all the answers yet. So they still make the easier mistakes. My only thing is I'd rather take N'Kosis mistakes and his plus level arm and athletic ability over Malick "tuck it in my left arm and run after the first read" Rosier. I just think even the players are ready for someone else. They don't want to start a war over it because they want to play. But I think this has the potential to get ugly.

Well it looks like N'Kosis has been a ***** up so far, maybe he'll get his head out of his ***. Maybe he would have been starting this year if he was doing the right things. But since he's off suspension now there is no doubt he should be given a chance to play. I think it would give us all the chance to see if he's any good or not.

How many practices did you get to watch? I'm not being a **** I'm just wondering how you came to this conclusion? I don't know either way, R has played freshmen so who wouldn't he play one of the other two?

Fair question

Based on reports and scrimmage reports, Cade was the most accurate during first week

As far as I’ve heard here and elsewhere, Rosier never took O2 reps in scrimmage vs D1

Cade and NKosi went almost entirely w O2 vs D2

That is not an open competition

Your last question is very good. I have no idea.

LOL. Of course no one ever plans on playing ****ty. Playing sh1tty just happens when you are ****ty to begin with, despite your best intentions.

It isn’t one bad game

By my count it’s bn 4 & 6 in a row

You made a couple of good points. I can't wait to see the other two kids play this week.

Not giving him a pass at all. I am just saying I think its why Malik just looks that much better. I also think the other kids feel like the fix is in, or they would be taking every opportunity given them. I think they know whos getting the call and so they are just enjoying the back up job and more than likely enjoying the nightlife that comes with it...lol Hopefully N'Kosi or even Cade gets it together and starts demanding more time with their play. I don't know if I can honestly stomach anymore of Rosier...

Give Perry a half against SSU and Toledo then unleash him as the starter .

Was in the camp of believing the reports all off-season as how rosier preogressed and would be serviceable at least. Nope

People aren't gonna like this, but it is the right move. That way, if the other 3 guys are somehow worse, you keep your "starter" in place. Richt can put off naming one of the others as starter for at least another week.

I agree but it should not last more than one quarter. Regardless, if the other QBs play bad we should be able to pull out the game with Feagles & Baxa playing QB.

Worst part is Rosier can look good against the next 3 opponents and Richt will be praising him. He will then proceed to throw 44% against UNC.

That's the scary part to me. What if Perry and Weldon are legitimately worse than Rosier. I can't imagine that is possible, but I also can't believe that Richt is that stupid and/or stubborn that he doesn't have a legitimate reason for sticking with Rosier.
As we know by now as UM fans, coaches are far from infallible in their roster evaluations. This is the same Rick who signed guys like Park and Ramsey and Bauta at QB instead of Deshaun Watson and Cam Newton.

I'm not convinced that he's sticking with Rosier. I still think a lot of it has to do with keeping the locker room happy, and that once Perry (and it will probably be Perry) proves himself under the bright lights of a real game, then Richt will have the cover to make a change.

But you don't want to divide the locker room, and I get that. I think he's trying to make a QB change in a tactful way.

He's a true freshman. I don't believe for a minute that N'Kosi Perry or Cade Weldon don't know the playbook, but with a true freshman, that might legitimately be the case.
How hard is it to remember:
1. Hand ball off
2. Slant
3. 4 verts

I think privately the locker room is already divided and from some leaked information about locker room stuff during the game and on the sideline it boiled over Sunday night and the coaches are trying to cover it with the smoke screen of an injury. Malik is messing with some of these receivers money right now.

I think you're right that the receivers want to make a change. I talked to the father of one of our starting WR's before the game on Sunday, and that was the impression I got. Obviously I'm not going to say who, because that's his business.
