It's a **** good thing we didn't hire BUTCH! Aint it?

Why are Cane (some) fans the only fans wanting Botch as their HC? The guy at the time still had a huge advantage in recruiting.. There was no social media, not like today anyway.. not even going to get into his coaching flaws.. He was a coRch while here.. We were on probation, aight.. He wasn't at unc and he was a coRch there also and had a notorious bagman on his staff.. Wtf did he do at unc that Mack brown wasnt doing before him? Botch isn't the answer, that's why his *** isn't coaching and no ones calling

LOL , Botch

I'm a huge Butch supporter, but some people are getting a little ridiculous. I don't like what I've seen and believe Richt's play calling needs to improve and Kayaa needs to step it up a bit, but people need to understand we have a **** OL, and a bunch of young guys playing in key positions all over the field. People also need to understand we are 6 games into season 1 after 5 years of the worst coach any of us can remember at this school.

This fan base doesn't deserve a Butch Davis or Bobby Petrino or anyone with a pulse. Al Golden was a perfect fit for you clowns.

We've had THREE terrible coaches in a row... Coker, Shannon, Golden. People have heard the old "coach needs to get his players in to fit his system" and "give it until year 3" so many times I think we're all cynical and burned out by it.

I predicted 7 wins at the beginning of the year and Brock called me a troll. Nope, just burned out with Canes football.

How can anyone on this board think we were going to go 10-2 or 11-1? Now people want to dump Richt 6 games into his first season??? You guys are on crack. Yeah lets look like idiots and throw 7 or 8 million at Tom Hermann, Sound really smart. WTF is wrong with some of you. Vent, get it off your chest to make you feel better and give this man a chance. Our D already looks better and he hired a Very good staff so far. Next we are going to hear about flying banners again. SMH.

I guess no one claims the Butch banners. Dude was being KILLED on Grassy in his fifth year. Now he's the god of Miami football. People don't learn from history.

If Butch was so great, why didn't he win in 1995, since Richt is supposed to win today after taking over a horsesht roster?

Mark Richt was a HC for a long time, and his player development and recruiting isn't 1/10th of what Butch's is. I think the point here is that if you were going to go with a mediocre X and Os guy, then at least go get the greatest developer of talent in NCAA history.

The one thing we can guarantee about Butch.

THE GODDAMNED ROOSTER WOULD BE ******* STACKED!

And players would be getting better as the season progressed.

Pretty sure that, had Butch neen hired instead of Richt, the rooster would look exactly like it does now. Butch would look just as inept with Captain 3 and Out under center as Richt. Probably more inept, actually.

This month even! lulz Prob this week.

Too early for this kind of thread. Richt is not going anywhere. Hopefully he gets better fast or less and less fans will show up game time.

Butch's offense at UNC was almost as bad as this.

We needed to throw 7 or 8 mil at Herman and make him say no.
The same Herman that struggled against Tulsa today right?

If you give Tom Herman the talent from South Florida, we're contending for a Natty every single year.

cool story...if in fact the south Fla recruits still wanted to come to the U.

They would when we won the Coastal in year one, instead of watching the most boring tepid offense in Miami history.

Butch woulda been running the same garbage Offense.

But he's not offensive guy.

Richt is, which is why what we've been witnessing since FAU is inexcusable.

Richt's offense is frankly offensive! Even sorry *** Coley's offense looked more explosive than the total crap fest that we have been treated to the last 2 weeks. Kaaya sucks, the OL sucks, we get it. But "great" coaches use their player's strengths to succeed, not the other way around.

This is reminding me of crappy when we had Brock Berlin. Kid was a savage out of the shotgun, would kill other teams. So of course, Clappy would force him to be under center the majority of the time. Just mind boggling.

A lot of the play calling today was brutal, as well as the mismanagement of the clock and timeouts. This might be the most conservative play caller that we've ever had at the U.

Hey I agree with you...but, my eyes tell me that the serious recruits ain't gonna touch this place at all. Especially if they have to worry about the admin AND the coRching staff all up in their a$$ for being a young man trying to figure it out. They are expecting 18 year olds to act like 23 year olds...where is the common sense in that?

Exactly what I've been thinking since last week. I don't know why these coaches do it to themselves.

Brad is a rhythm QB. Amongst other things, he is mentally soft (I know that came as off as harsh, but I don't mean it as such) and needs to feel comfortable in order to be effective. He knows the OL is a sieve. It's on his mind before every snap, and it's affecting his decision making when he's under center. When he's in the shotgun and we're going hurry-up? He's dealing like he's in Vegas.

You look at a guy like Petrino who has a QB like he's never had before. Instead of trying to make him into the Pro-type of passer he's used to, he changed his offense to fit Jackson's talents.

Kaaya, since High School, is a shotgun QB. Let him and the boys play.
