It was Beck who got in Dawson's ear about Fletcher at halftime

Props to Carson for disregarding his own stats and wanting what's best for the team.

Dawson was the human on earth that was not thinking what EVERYONE ELSE was already saying …. “They can’t stop the run … keep running”
even BEFORE THE GAME, that should have been the gameplan...

A&M was like 130th in the country at giving up yards after contact on inside runs...

i was absolutely shocked we didn't come out running the ball, inside, 60-70% of the time.. and even more shocked when we didn't pivot to it sooner when it was clearly working...

Humility and self awareness are not something you see much with high level coaches. Kudos to Dawson
And awesome that he is the kind of coach that enables that relationship with his players that they feel comfortable making suggestions to him. Many coaches would never instill that kind of environment, and then the players keep those thoughts to themselves, or just whisper to each other.

The plan was probably to hit the edges in the run game. That's also what we were trying to do with all the gimmicks. Texas abused them off-tackle. We hit them up the middle ultimately.

That kind of bothers me but as long as he is willing to keep open about it. Should have adjusted sooner. Defense and specials bailed our offense out time and again

One of the most frustrated I have been, then has the nerve after the game to make comment to fans about A gap being the run that won when that was NEVER the argument most had during the season.. The whole point was running into 11 man loaded boxes when the other team knows you are going to run and not having a single counter to make them pay.. I think its disingenuous when the coaches do that, @DMoney does it on pod also, like lol.. That was never the issue..

And EVERYONE could see it LIVE, Andre Johnson blog, first carry he says Fletcher has juice and run the ball multiple times, Every post game recap, Pate's recap, ACC recap, Herbie and Galloway, Even the DC for AM stated he went into game with Light box and it took us a while to make them pay for it. It was dam near Malpractice that your own QB is like run the ball my guy..

Time stamp 1:01

I guess they are saying this was his first BIG game and he did say he froze on play call in his presser that cause penalty, so hopefully he gets jitters out, games only get bigger and harder #1 defense in all the land coming up next.

he doesn't need to be in the booth. we have spotters up there that communicate that to him.
I'm sure, but have you had someone tell you how something looks and been like, yeah I'm coming to see that **** for myself. Perspective is important and I wouldn't want to rely on another person's eyes for it in real time. I'm sure there's a reason he's on the field, but our spotters just didn't tell him they could land a jumbo jet in the lanes up front?

What's funny is that Mario took his hands off the offense post-SMU game. And the TAMU was clearly the game where Mario should've went to Dawson and be like "if you run the ball nonstop right now, we'll have another game where you can let it air out more."

First drive it was clear as day that we could gash them

I was telling that to Aggie fans way up in section 347. They were hoping we didn’t go to Fletcher more.
He finally adjusted though
