It was a good playcall, COley wide open, Yearby threw a duck

I hate James coley and it was a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE call, but a terrible call that worked

if yearby doesn’t throw that like my 13 year old sister then we win the game

was wide open, with our most sure wide receiver breaking for the end zone and he threw a duck.

Falk and Kaaya were struggling in that weather but yeah Yearby should've made that throw.

Another double-digit IQ poster trogging up the board.

i’ll assume you didn’t read my post then..

I stated it was a bad call.. which it was. But it worked Coley was wide open.

i’m not blaming yearby entirely as it was still coley’s decision to run the play, but it did work because he was wide open, and they have practiced that play according to scott so he ****ed it up. clear as day

It didn't "work" because the pass was horrific. A pass play with a RB in a snowstorm isn't only about the receiver being open. There is more than 1 prong to that play "working".

That play worked. All of you complaining just don't appreciate the nuance of play-calling in a snowstorm. If you triple stamp a double stamp, it undoes the initial postage.

We won, right?

There's a lot of funny things said in this thread, but a bunch of people calling that a blizzard takes the cake. It was a snowstorm, that's it, and no excuse for a lot of the pathetic play we saw.

Yes, there is a blizzard in some parts of the country, just not there at the time of the game.

Does it really matter if the storm met the meteorological definition of a blizzard? The point is that you don't have your halfback throw a pass in that kind of weather.

Yes you're right. It wasn't a blizzard, it was a snow storm. A running back (who normally doesn't throw ball even in great weather conditions) should be able to complete a throw (when the game is on the line) in a snow storm. Those posters don't know what they are talking about.

I mean, it shouldn't matter at all that this RB is from Florida and hasn't probably seen, let alone played football in a snow storm before. I'm with you. It was a great James Coley's type of call.

Please show me where I commented one way or another about the play itself.

I was simply pointing out how the Floridiots were calling it a blizzard.

Oddly enough our last bowl victory was on a colder night with every bit as much wind in Boise, Idaho. It wasn't snowing, but those FL guys still got it done, no weather excuses made.

Maybe I misunderstood the gist of your post but you posted in a thread about "that play" and included this sentence: "no excuse for a lot of the pathetic play we saw".

haha I love it. People around here totally skip the whole "can the play work?" portion of thought and go right to a stillshot out of context. Basic risks and benefits analysis be damned.

Best part is the 3-4 people defending it in other threads not putting their names on the upvote record.

No worries South, I see your point.

Play called or not, the play was there to be made. It wasn't and is the nature of sports it's a bad call since it didn't work. Had the play worked, it would be a ballsy and good call that caught them off guard.

There was a lot of terrible play today by both sides, simply put. The way we closed out with that play, the Walton fumble, and Waters flag....I can say I'm happy the season is over. That's a perfect microcosm of Hurricane football the past decade.

Can't put it in a larger font. You me and every Canes' fan.

if the play worked, you give the ball back to Washington with +3 minutes, 3 timeouts and a field goal to win.. Really, is that what you want to do???

No one has said this, i'm glad you brought it up.
We didn't quit, we just couldn't execute or stop committing stupid penalties.

It seemed on the Scott/Coley non-TD series, a little quit was creeping in on WSU. Even on offense.
We had 3 minutes to go 35 yards. Wind at our backs.

In my mind, that game was won.

Forget it...I guess this just about wraps it up.
(you forgot the Scott no TD/Int,)

OP is a ******. Inside the 30 with 3min left and a red hot qb. No need for dumbass trickery. OP obviously does not understand situational football...... Or football in general. Go back to playing EA NCAA Football 15 dumbass

Worst playcall of all time. I ****** flipped my living room table because i knew what was coming. Smh, fuuuuuuuck.

Sorry, but the halfback pass was a terrible call. Even if it had worked for a TD, it would have left too much time for WSU to score a winning field goal. Kaaya found a groove in the previous drive. I prefer his chances to engineer a score that left less than 30 seconds for WSU.

There have been some ridiculous off base posts since this board was created...but this one is up there.

That one play was basically a microcosm of the ******* incompetence that is James Coley. EVEN IF THAT PLAY WOULD HAVE WORKED...it doesn't make it any better of a decision.

You get the BALL BACK...with PLENTY OF TIME....ON THEIR HALF OF THE FIELD.....and you RUN A TRICK PLAY.

I've been saying it for 3 years..he's the worst coach on the staff and is every bit as bad at what he does for a living as D'Onfrio is...and maybe worse. There's a ******* reason Jimbo wouldn't let him call plays...and today you get example 4,353,383 of that statement.

God bless the fanbase that gets this loser next...the simple fact we are rid of Golden, Coley, and Onfrio after today makes this game and this season a win. That piece of **** ******* Seminole can't leave town fast enough. Good riddance.
