It sucks but don’t get down over a meaningless early October loss.

Like on paper, we are a good team. We don’t win 4/5 first games on accident. So a case could be made we got screwed by ACC scheduling from the chance to play Louisville again.

The issue is I’m not confident another clunker or two isn’t in the tailpipe. SMU and Pitt almost immediately become toss ups. Win those and like I said, if Louisville keeps winning, that becomes a “good loss” that was tossed around last season by the committee.

Again, it’s not probable. We just have to keep winning. I just don’t have faith that Mario can steady the ship. Because we will be a linchpin team this week. All the talking heads will be beating us down.

Every year it's the samething. 1 loss dont mean anything. Just gotta win this and that blah, blah, blah. Once the team loses a game it's over. They might squeak by Stanford in those trash jerseys they have planned and then SMU will finish them and then va tech or Pitt will top it off to send them to the Sun Bowl

UVA technically has to lose twice. They have 0 ACC losses. NCST was OOC. Since they have the H2H vs Louisville they’d get in ahead of them. I don’t know the tiebreakers for if us and GT are tied.

My point is, if we are 11-1, again highly unlikely imo, and UVA is 10-2 and Louisville is 11-1 and we miss on dumb scheduling I don’t think not playing in the ACCCG would be as detrimental as some think it would be.

Last year only one team played 3 CFP teams in the regular season and made the CFP, UGA. If we boast a resume of 3 CFP teams, ND, USF and Louisville. Winning 2/3 I would assume that’s enough to get in. It should be at least.

Louisville losses again that’s two acc losses correct . If Virgina losses and GT lose that will 3 teams with one loss not playing head to head . How do they choose ? You’re talking playoffs im talking making acc championship game

That I don’t know. Odds are if we win out we go to Charlotte. I don’t believe UVA or GT are able to overcome their flaws to not lose twice. If UVA, Louisville, Miami and GT are all tied I believe it would go to winning percentage against all common opponents. Which the only team we all share is VT. I’d assume we all win that game. Then it goes to combined win percentage of conference opponents. Which I can’t even try extrapolating here. But I’d assume us not playing Duke, Clemson and Cal could hurt us.

Again, that’s like extremely unlikely. Louisville is good, but we had four TOs and still had a chance to win. GT has defensive issues, and is almost too reliant on King hero ball. UVA is a fun story but can they really avoid the trap of dropping a game to a team they shouldn’t. We also can’t forget Duke. They could very well win out and lose to just Clemson. It could become a t total **** show.

Style points will matter. Just surviving won’t be enough. The view of the ACC nationally is trash. The OOC record is brutal. We were the ones holding up the conference.’We had a lot of capital built up that vanished in an instant.

I agree, if we win out we in. A second loss without an ACC title may leave us out

Bro, if Diaz wins the ACC at Duke before Cristobal does at Miami, I am going to stop watching cfb altogether. It would prove to me that being a Miami fan simply isn’t worth the heartache anymore.

The ACC officials do. They did everything they could to keep Miami down in the first half and set up that second half. People will only remember the BS roughing to negate Becks 5th pick but they’ll forget the laughable shove by CiCi that drew a flag but no flag on Louisville the very next play when they’re DB punched Daniels in the face right in front of an official 2 seconds after the whistle. That went on the entire first half. The UC against Toney that was iffy at best.

Forgot to add, the fact that Moss wasn’t ejected for targeting on Blay on that crack back block was ridiculous. Was a textbook definition of it and wasn’t even reviewed even though they called the crack back.
 
11-1 with wins over ND/USF and only loss being a 3 point loss to a hopefully ranked LV team and i have a hard time seeing how we dont get into th playoff. would be robbery

this is worse than any loss last year imo. we looked thoroughly dominated tonight on both sides. like we would have stolen the win not earned the win.
