When speculation swirled late in the season that Manny Diaz would be replaced, Miami Hurricanes QB commitment Jacurri Brown set up a Mississippi official visit as a "just in case."
That "just in case" wasn't as much about Diaz as it was about what an unknown - at the time - new head coach might foresee for the offense. Brown said he wanted the Canes to remain a spread wide-open attack that forced other teams to defend vertically as well as horizontally.
That Mississippi visit was supposed to be this weekend.
Instead Brown is in Miami for a second official visit to Coral Gables.
He talked with Mario Cristobal the day the coach was hired, met him in person on Thursday, and believes there is total alignment between what he wants in an offense and what Cristobal wants.
