Get-right game at home against the team and HC that effectively ended your season a year ago and talked *hit the entire time they were doing it. Syracuse is either going to be starting a walk-on lacrosse player or a guy who's QBR is 128th in America.

Anything less than a beatdown of epic proportions and you might as well start flying banners next weekend.

This isn’t a “get right” game. We should beat Syracuse, but that doesn’t tell me anything.

I stated a few weeks ago after the Louisville loss that Stanford was not a “get right” game either. Stanford was awful and that game would tell us nothing. The SMU game would tell us everything we needed to know. Unfortunately, we found out we aren’t a playoff caliber team.

Syracuse is awful. We will probably come out flat and unmotivated as usual, but should end up winning fairly easy. The remaining games after Syracuse will all be a dog fight and we could lose all 3. Thats just our DNA with a Mario led team. Any average or above average team will give us fits. We just can’t find a way to handle them like a good team should.

It def needs to happen. team needs a big win to bring positive vibes to the program after a rough week. Its cool that coaches acknowledge the glaring mistakes. Question is what are they going to do bout them?

Dog walk Syracuse plz.

I can make the argument Syracuse is genuinely worse than Stanford.

I'm sure the kids will feel sorry for themselves and sleepwalk through some of the game, but this is a game where just showing up will be enough to win by multiple scores. They are really, really awful. I think it'll be a lot like the Stanford game, Cuse will probably only have 1-2 scoring drives for the entire game, and we'll just run the same offense but we'll actually move the ball because they suck.

If we can somehow come out a little faster, this should be a 42-10 or 38-7 type game.

Not to be critical, but if your post was meant to make me feel better it didn’t 😕

I don’t even know if I wanna watch to be really honest. If they come out flat and unmotivated, it’s really going to depress me. I don’t need that in my life right now.

No, it was not meant to make any of us feel better. There are no more “get right” games this year. I don’t even know if that’s a real thing.

We know where Mario and this team stands. He’s not going to magically change his philosophy or address his flaws or the team’s flaws at this point in the season.

This might be the dumbest thing I've said on this site, which would really be impressive because I've said some incredibly braindead ****, but I actually think he will change this week. Not some complete overhaul, but for example, watch....they'll run play-action on short yardage this week. Guaranteed. Which we haven't done in weeks. And it'll work. The problem is, this staff waits until the plane crashes into the mountain before they decide to course correct. So, a week or two late, we'll break tendencies some this week. Watch.

(And when we don't, feel free to bump this and tell me what a lobotomy patient I am)
