There isn’t just one thing we can point to.
There are multiple.

Some are saying it was Malik. I agree. But it wasn’t just him. Others are saying it was the Refs. I agree but it wasn’t just that. Some are saying it was the DBs. I agree there too. At times I agree Richts calls weren’t great, but had we kept rolling after going up 14-3 like we were supposed to, would we really be saying it was all on him? Yes coaches are to blame here, so is the D who got no pressure AND couldn’t defend simple slants. So is Malik who turned the ball over at the worst possible moments twice. So are the refs who missed the most blatant holding call all year and that would have pushed them out of even FG range so now we go into the half down 3 and not 10! HUGE DIFFERENCE.

Last night wasn’t about just one thing. It was multiple. I still think Malik’s 2 INTS we’re by far the worst. Idc what the play call was you DOnt throw those 2 INTS, and because of how they shifted momentum TWICE I am most upset with him.

Richts play calling deserves some heat but it wasn’t why we lost. To me it wasn’t too 3 reasons. Again, we were rolling and on our way to scoring. He wasn’t coming off the gas and then the INTS. The biggest issue I remember was when were in wildcat late in the game. Deejay got a first down off the first play. On 1st and 10 he goes nowhere. 2 and 10 and I was like alright he has to throw from it here and keep them honest but he ran. Richt has to call a throw there. But he ran for nothing so now we are in 3 and 10 and like dfagundo said we just aren’t a third and 10 offense.

The secondary to me was abysmal. It looked like they were facing Antonio brown in number 4 and he was getting what he wanted when he wanted it. We’ve seen sooooo many better receivers this year and these guys made the secondary look the most foolish! HOW???????

And then there is Badgely. I’ve never liked that kid. Not once. That smug look. He’s the Kaaya of kickers. It irks me that he now has the record and it’s only because he was fortunate to kick for 4 years. Hopefully Baxa takes that and isn’t disappointing.

Again, last night wasn’t black and white on who to blame. A lot of factors. It sucks. We did show up but we also beat ourselves. You can’t do that against top 10 teams and we learned that the hard way. It’s crazy to not be optimistic about the future though. It really is. We got monsters coming in. The right QB takes this team far.

Play calling had ZERO to do with why we lost. Typical Miami fan to blame coaching and X's and O's when it's plain and clear that the players are not good enough right now.

We got our **** pushed in, plus our QB was garbage.

"We got our **** pushed in"

I don't understand comments like that.
It was a highly competitive game. Did we get blown out?
Criticism about the real issues are fair but to say we "We got our **** pushed in" in a game we were in and could have won the whole way...I don't get that.

Our skill guys kept us in the game. We scored on explosive plays.

When they had 3rd and 2, did you ever once for a second think we had a shot at stopping them? Or on the other side of the ball?

Our WR outplayed theirs, and DJ Dallas had a great game (much better talent than Homer, btw)

We got dominated at the line of scrimmage.

Generally, we suck on 3rd down because we are weak at the line of scrimmage

The title of this thread had my hopes up for some sort of racial discussion. So disappointed.

Meat has no clue what he is talking about, as usual. It’s just another cliche criticism. They had 44 carries for 142 yards. They could barely get anything going even when they had like eight offensive linemen. We ran the ball against them better than they ran it against us.

What killed us was our turnovers, inconsistent running game, and u ique ability to make terrible QBs look like world beaters. The headline on espn was “Hornibrook dominates.” That tells you all you need to know.

This. So much this.

Keeping them honest. That was the whole trend of this game. Nothing we did kept them honest. The things we did at the onset didn’t translate later on throughout the game. We stopped keeping them honest. But that int in negative territory changed everything. They (Wisc) went from no hope to supreme confidence in a blink of an eye.

Wisconsin running game didn't beat UM. They run the ball at an elite level. They are really really good at it and the RB is the real deal.
I think we did a more than decent job containing the run. Passing the ball is where they beat us.(fair to criticize that)
To say they "We got our **** pushed in" is to say they ran all over us...and that just wasn't the case.
It was a competitive game that we could have just as easily won. That's a fair criticism maybe but to say we "We got our **** pushed in"
Is just crazy.

They couldn't get the edge on us and they never broke a long one. But every time they needed short yardage they were able to pound us.

We sold out to slow down the run.

This board just repeats itself very 4 years.

Yes it is. Black uniforms suck and are a laughable indication of complete frailty atop the athletic department.

We have multiple problems that are keeping us from being a legit top 10 team. Perry is a talent for sure but he is just one guy. Opening in Dallas is a disaster right now. We really needed a game or 2 to get our stuff together. I don't see 10 wins next season without some major OL,DB upgrades and a professional OC and QB coach.

Top 10 teams have professionals not the coaches son on the staff

Well yeah they are really good at running the ball. So they will have the advantage in third and short but overall reguardless that they are ELITE at running the ball we contained it (you just admired as much)
Plus this from Dmoney

"- The talk about Miami being physically overmatched is flat wrong, in my opinion. Miami actually outrushed Wisconsin (174 to 142) and almost doubled their yards per attempt (6.0 to 3.2). They just got out-executed by a well-coached team, particularly in the passing game."

142 yards on the ground for a 3.2 average is not "getting your **** pushed in"

Sorry dude just admit you were just doing a "hot take" without thinking it through.
