Oregon’s problem is there is little recruiting base for the Ducks. They have to recruit the west coast from Seattle to San Diego, and nationally, at a high level for any success. Hard to do consistently if USC recovers and begins to dominate those trails. Or any other PAC12 South team, but usually USC.

Miami has far more local talent. They’ve never won every battle for the elite local players but if they can win their fair share and evaluate the remainder well, the Canes are good to go. Yes, they will recruit nationally, like QBs and OL, but can build a relevant team from a roster primarily made up of players taken south of Orlando. Maybe not an elite NC contender year-in year-out, but still a solid team that can play with anyone.

Kirby didn’t leave Bama for Duck country either. These were all seasoned and experienced coaches and none of them called up there and said “hey next time a gig opens up lmk”!
That Nike money and the association with knight is what makes everyone all scared of them.

And Taggart said *f#ck this place" and left as soon as a better job opened. Oregon couldn't match FSU? Didn't matter if they could because Taggart didn't want to be there. So did they learn from their mistake and go big with the next hire? Nope, they hired their OL coach (who hadn't been a HC since being fired by FIU several years before) because they couldn't attract any big names. And you want to know what is extra hilarious? Everyone knows Cristobal was going to leave Oregon for UM in 2018 (meaning the 2nd coach in a row that left Oregon for another P5 job after one year) but Blake James f#cked up and hired Diaz instead. So where is this delusional narrative that top coaches actually want to be at Oregon coming from?

Manny is resilient. He will bounce back.

**** he might be FIU’s coach in waiting. Or he could kick back, spend a few duckets, and take another dc job and build himself back up.

He bounced back from the Texas debacle. He will survive this too.

If he eats the humble pie , learns from his mistakes, and keeps developing he might become a decent head coach one day. He will have to take an honest look at himself though. No more spin jobs or passing the buck.
 
It’s always fascinating to me that guys on these sites that are always calling guys out that bring the most to the sites are guys that bring ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to the sites.

It would be different if they were even bringing info that was even wrong but they bring nothing but *****ing and moaning about the people that bring the most info to the sites.

Happens on EVERY site I’ve ever been on and all it does is end up running the people off that truly have good info or just get those people to the point where they just say fck it ,it’s not worth the hassle.We are lucky as Fck to have Cribby and others that have people inside the program that give them info so we aren’t left to rely on the Barry Jackson’s of the world for our info.

If you are going to have the audacity to call other people out at least bring something to the site that replaces all the info you say is wrong.Either that or just STFU and go elsewhere.I’m sure the Maude’s,Mods ,Administrator's and even D Money would be happy to refund you all the money you’ve paid in to the site for your reading and posting privileges.

Sorry for the rant but as someone whose not as close to the program as I once was and now who appreciates ALL info that these guys give it just gets tiresome to see mope after mope give these guys sHT for just trying to give us the real info.No one is gonna have info that pans out 100% of the time .NO ONE but that’s a whole lot better than having no info at all.
